Hmm, so I was watching the Unstoppable press conference again. Cormier's connection with the public is clear that it tends to come off as whiney or making deep points that people don't always connect immediately. He says a lot of obvious things like how fake Jones is and what not. People tend to see it as him talking weak game, but holds a lot of truth in what he says.

Anyway, the main observation point that I wanted to bring up is how shocked this time around I was hearing the crowd boo Cormier after everything Jon is coming back from. I noticed that the crowd that was boo'ing him was the McGregor crowd. They were the same ones not really cheering Meisha upon entrance and victory. The ones that didn't know who Nate was going into the fight.

A lot of uninformed fans mainly there for one guy that follow who the UFC pushes as their stars. Just crazy to see Cormier getting no love.

It's not crazy. No one likes the holier-than-thou goodie-goodie who uses the mistakes of others to make themselves look high and mighty. That's exactly what Cormier has been doing and it's a scumbag move than he got called on.

Like what? I guess I'm missing a lot here, seriously. Not being sarcastic. All I've really heard from Cormier was him giving 100% props to Jones at the post fight presser on their first fight by saying he worked really hard, but wasn't enough because Jones is the real deal. He also calls Jones on his shit wondering why people don't hold Jon accountable for the crazy crap he did for the last two years. What else am I missing?

1. Most MMA fans are teenagers or immature nerds in their 20s.

2. The press conference was in NY, Jones' home state.

Not really surprised a fake champion is getting no love.

DC handled it about as badly as possible. He was passive aggressive about it from the get go. He clearly let it get under his skin and was showing it. By the time he made any good points they were too far against him to listen. Then the whole trying to out Jones and asking to be called a pussy, oh man that was classic. Idk how he thought that'd turn things around for him.

He should have stuck to himself; what he plans to do different in the rematch, what he's been doing since he lost to Jones, why his title should mean as much as Jones, etc. Instead he got in a pissing contest and it just hit him back in the face.

At least he kept his shoe on this time.

NY, that's what I originally thought. At the site I read before posting this, the site said it was in Vegas before the weigh-ins. Thanks for clearing that up. Makes a lot more sense now.

Fake champ? Jones got stripped on his own, and Daniel did defend that "fake belt" against Rumble. I think if he sat on the belt this whole time waiting for Jones, it'd be another story.

Calling it a pissing contest is being generous. They started booing him and Cormier just pissed all over himself.

And everyone watched Cormier lose to Jones 4 months before he won his fake belt.

Most MMA fans consider Bones to be the real title holder. Can't be the man until you beat the man.

And I completely agree with Jones being the champ and also have him winning the rematch and in a much more convincing fashion. Not taking anything away from Jones other than his out-of-cage antics.

That's what I thought I read. Thank you, kind sir.

I'd be pissed too since that was bullshit. I didn't watch the whole thing but how can DC not look preachy and judgmental when people are asking him about Jon Jones, bringing his belt etc? Kinda hard not to go 'yeah my opponent is an asshat', don't you think?
