Now he dethroned the dominant LHW Bellator champ in spectacular fashion in Bader, to get the life long desired belt. If he didn't leave the ufc, he'd be just another ufc top10 unpaid fighter.

Bader wasn't the LHW champ lmao. Vadim kicked his head off and murked him for it almost 2 years ago. This wasn't even for a title

You know Bader's not the reigning Bellator LHW champ right?

Honestly if the UFC had seen what Anderson was turning into as a fighter they might not have been so keen to let him go.

Maybe Dana was still pissed off at him for derailing Walkers hype train?

Says a lot about how garbage Bellator's roster is when the likes of Anderson of running through it with ease lmao big yikes

One FC and PFL have a more skilled roster lmao

Throughout the years, the UFC acted nonchalantly about letting go of Jon Fitch, Ryan Bader, Demetrious Johnson, Jake Shields, Yushin Okami, Corey Anderson, Nick Diaz, Jens Pulver, Bustamante, Penn, and many other assassins.

Why would they be concerned? Pride FC was the only true, real threat to the UFC.

In the near future, a new organization (World Fighting League) will try to become a true, real threat to the UFC. We'll have to wait and see.

The UFC have tended to let controling grapplers go more easily down the years though like Bader and Davis, Anderson was really known for that until relatively recently.

At the time the Walker fight was viewed as an upset and mostly due to Walker being a glass canon but in retrospect really Anderson has become quite dangerous now.

Dana and the staff tend to favor finishes and finishers over anything. Even the current gen ufc game is kind of pissed at you if you win a decision.

Anderson did the same thing to Jhonny Walker and 30-25 the champ

Lol. He has wins over both guys fighting for the UFC lhw belt. He would fucking destroy Jan in a rubber match hands down.

The first part of your list is true, but the latter isn't at all. Pulver and fighters of that time weren't locked into inescapable contracts the way they are today, and Penn wasn't quietly released - he left. Pulver as well, I believe.
