Pretty sure he's saying he's happy he doesn't have to deal with the UFC's bullshit and popularity contests.

^ being in ufc you've to deal with so much bullshit while being ''independent contractor'' while the same mofos ''release'' you after your not valuable to them.
i always end up rooting for a guy who left ufc for a search of a better option rather then dealing with the tyrants

He did move up the ranks in UFC, he was a top ranked LHW he just lost alot and lost to Jan when it mattered most.
