cooling down

    found something u guys may be interested in . "Ballistic stretching should be done after a workout as this is when major gains in flexibility will occur." and a cool down should involve stretching , jogging or performing your workout in a reduced more relaxed less intense manner. the purpose of a cool down is to drop your heart rate to below 100 bpm to prevent.." a whole bunch of bad shit.

    I've always done ballistic stretching first thing in the morning and then as a part of my warm up, I generally put static and isometric stretches into my cool down.

    Found that doing ballistics in the morning really helped with my kicking, I think theres something in Thomas Kurz's book "stretching scientifically" on the subject but unfortunately I've lent my copy to someone.

    yeah, theres a lot of ballistic stretching stuff in kurz's book, I think all of it says to do it in the morning.
