Cool Guard Pass

I wonder how effective that is. I can't see many people just having both of their legs streight for you to step over like that. Think the guy playing guard would just bend his knee outward and then when you stepped over you would be stuck with a shin on the inside of your leg, ready for an x-guard setup or something.
 
If I can use something like that, I will use my other leg and swing it like a cresent kick. Then I can slide down to mount more easily.

With the original pass, you can also switch to backwards mount and do a leg submission like a kneebar or a toehold.
