Contender Season 3: Entire fights to be shown, plus check out the talent pool!

Carolla is an avid boxing fan and is pretty funny, good choice.

McGirt is the kiss of death as a trainer, and Correa is most famous for training Leonard post Hagler. Not saying much for either guy.

brooklyn man why you always gotta be so harsh lol? come on man just enjoy it right now(beats having Gallagher and jeremy williams)I think sugar ray leonard helped get him that spot which is dope of him.

Pepe is a good trainer and underratted I am glad for the guy I hope they pay him well he is a good strategist, glad to see him get some exposure hope it helps him get some good fighters again.

I'd take Tommy Gallagher(who I did work with for a time) over McGirt anyday. They were paid on the show to tell the guys to go at each other instead of actual advice. Its doubtful McGirt and Correa will do the same since the fights will actually be broadcast in their entirety.

Buchanan and Bunting both from ShoBox's tourney of last year.

Yeah, I remember those two from the tourney. That tourney was a good one but it sucked that the finals was a draw. Hanshaw handed Buenteng his ass and then was robbed of the victory against Mendy imo.

Back to the topic, this season sounds promising and worth watching.

Anyone know what channel will play this in Canada? And i haven't heard of many of these guys, who should be the favourite?

oh shit they replaced the coaches.

now its gonna be BUDDY MCGIRT and PEPE CORREA! dope shit.

it airs Sept 4 and the finally will be in boston in time to probally hype up the micky ward movie which would be wrapped up by then.

I just looked at another message board an rumor is Adam Carolla as a co host with leonard? lmao wtf?

Will Buddy see a successful fighter and steal him away from pepe like he does in real life?

bro you are hard to Please.

Not at all. If you have a choice between an Omaha steak or McDonald's which are you picking?

oh come on now! so mcgirt is that bad? I mean tommy hasnt trained a fighter in a while he seems more of a flashy kinda guy too he is a real character though.

By the way why did gallagher retire from training?

If you want to lose, hire McGirt.

Gallagher has been involved in the sport since the 50's and trained his share of world champions. He really doesn't need to anymore.

neither does Steward but he still trains.

I always wondered why guys like Gallagher and Atlas dont train they still got the health and wits. They could really help young up and coming fighters develop.

Training isn't exactly a stress free job. Its more often than not a pain in the ass, and takes a lot of hard work. If you don't have to do it, why should you?

true

but man the things these guys can do for boxing. Sorta like Barry sanders Atlas retired at his prime.

wow this season is gonna be great; the biggest issue has been the sub par talent and opp w/less than stellar exp (at all or against good competition); in this season that won't come into question, cus the majority of these guys are not only active..but have faced at least one world ranked/name fighter.

im surprised more guys who are right below that top tier of recognition or skill don't get on or go on the show; it's a good chance to familiarize themselves w/mainstream fans and non fans.

instead they whine about guys they beat getting opp to be stars; instead of swallowing their pride and getting an opp to get on a big stage
