Conor's next couple of fights

When Conor got his shot at RDA I thought it was unjustified to jump up a division with no defences, now with the loss to Diaz what sort of hypothetical schedule would Conor need to be victorious in to earn that LW shot again in your eyes?

For me it'd be:

Defend the FW title against Frankie
Fight the winner of Aldo vs Holloway
Move to LW and challenge any top 5 fighter of his choosing
Challenge for the LW belt (I'd be content with this schedule if he was allowed to keep both titles to break the record).

He might lose Vs Frankie.
Then what?

Move Up to 155 & take a couple "easy fight" to re-build him.
Still a very good fighter.
Need to change camp I think.

His problem is BJJ...if he doesn't learn some BJJ and Takedown defense...he's going to lose many more fights...

In a perfect world - he fights Frankie and Holloway and Aldo squares off.

Most likely - he fights Aldo, than Frankie, than either Holloway or a LW fight.

All this talk is mute if Conor loses and Aldo or Frankie can steal his cookies.

His problem is BJJ...if he doesn't learn some BJJ and Takedown defense...he's going to lose many more fights...

Not necessarily bjj. He needs a ground game. Wrestling is easier to pick up on the fly. Plus his TDD will grow leaps and bounds.

Conor/UFC are in a delicate situation right now. Conor/Edgar should happen first but I think the UFC may set up Conor/Aldo first. If Conor loses, they will probably set up Aldo/Edgar. Conor fights Holloway and that winner gets the winner of Aldo/Edgar.

I think at that point he should give up the brutal cut and just move straight to LW like you said, a top 15 -> top 5 -> LW Shot.

holloway should start limping and complaining loudly about an injury in the gym, taking pictures of giant greasy burgers in restaurants, taking pictures on the beach with the caption "living the fat life" that way Dana will actually give him his rematch. Holloway will murder Conor been saying it for the past year.
