Why doesn't he use standard thai style kicks more often. Literally the only kick that did anything worthy in the diaz fight was a leg kick. If he dropped the fancy BS (save for the turn back side kick to the body, thats a good one) he would improve leaps right there. No more spinning cartwheel hand down on the ground telegraphed bullshit. Who's with me? Buncha wanna be karate kids out here nowadays

McGoof's kicks looked slower than usual, and you could see them coming a mile away.

I'm with you ts, he should have thrown more leg kicks like RDA did to Diaz to stop his movement, and should have targeted the body more with kicks

He really only throws kicks to get his opponent to circle to their right and in to his main weapon. I think it's going to be exploited in the future.

He didn't use the kicks to the body like he usually does. Those spin kicks were BS.

Was going to say this. Everything is done to set up his attacks from the left side. If he went to the body with kicks I still think Nate would have countered with long punches.

He always throws that looping bs capoeira kick. Everyone knows capoeira is pretty much useless. Why not throw a real spinning back kick instead of wasting energy when you know you have a limited gas tank?

His kicking technique is limited by his stance. He doesn't throw traditional kicks well.

His kicks are weak and slow. Nate dodged those telegraphed spinning kicks with ease.

Even Pettis said they were weak.

He just uses it to keep opponents at range and mix it up.

Did Machida ever use the kicks you're asking Conor to use?

Fighter apply the skill set available to them. It's too easy to expect them to do things outside their range. There is always a skilled opponent in the cage: Weidman tried his spinning kick and it didn't go well. Better stick to what you do well. Bisping just beat "the best ever" using simple straightforward striking, despite his 6-month medical suspension as aftermath.

I am telling this all the time, he is a one dimensional fighter. he got a god damn left hand who can put everyone out but if you can manage to avoid this he is done.

that leg kick looked so amateur, ground game is very bad but he can be very dangerous for any fighter with punches.

some said he didnt used his kicks to the body , well you can not do that to tall fighters.

I thought he threw such lazy kick because he was still dazed by Nate's punches..
