He out grappled Holloway and Diego Brandao (who was a bjj black belt) and also did fine in the second diaz fight and stuffed a lot of khabib takedowns/kept him in guard for a while

I'm not saying hes world class but it's weird that you guys act like hes cm punk on the ground

Conor didn't get to his level being weak anywhere

His top game is high level and his bottom game is fair. His TDD is actually pretty good. The biggest issue is his TDD is good for 8 minutes. Eddie Bravo has even said Conors bjj is legit as fuck, and Eddie doesn't have skin in the game.

Tbh his first round against Khabib was impressive defensive wise compared to all of Khabib's recent opponents. Took Khabib 4 minutes to get Conors back to the mat, let alone work from top position. Compare that to Dustin who had his back taken and Barboza who literally got prison raped the whole first round.

Are you kidding, I don't take anything he did in the Khabib fight as him having good BJJ

He was cheating from the get go, and all rounds.

He was lucky Herb was his best friend that night.

This. And Co9nor was abot 50%

conors ground game sucks.

he is a very poorly rounded one dimensional fighter.

4 losses 4 submissions. His defensive wrestling is above average for a striker. His bjj/heart is his weakness.

Max was a white belt training out of a garage, mate. Conor blew his own acl trying to escape the crushing half guard of said white belt.

How long til these stupid tedious threads are more or less out of the way??

Ok SIX WEEKS MORE to go. Thank God.

He out grappled Max when Max was a white/blue belt and he didn’t out grapple Diego other than the 1 takedown he got (which could be attributed to him being the much bigger and stronger fighter)

He'll probably be McTappin' again when Cerrone starts squeezing.

Id like to see conor and cowboy get in to a grappling exchange at some point. That would be a good way to see if conor is decent on the ground. Getting mauled by khabib on the ground doesnt really mean youre not good on the ground. The nate diaz fight he was completely gassed and rocked so who knows.

Doesn’t really offer anything off his back. Did alright against Khabib but then you have to remember he committed over 10 fouls.

He has good defensive BJJ. No offense to speak of from bottom or top that he's displayed. His BJJ is very functional for a striker.

It actually is underrated. You're not wrong about that. What's lacking is his mental fortitude when the going gets tough. He tends to give up.

In both of his UFC losses, he gave up and let the other guy get him in a choke because he wanted out. Watch the Nate fight and the Khabib fight. He just wanted out. He shot for a takedown on Nate, and he gave his back to Khabib. He had mentally checked out and wanted it to be over so he didn't take a bad beating and lose more credibility than getting caught in a choke. He knows damn well how to defend a choke. He really didn't try to stop it either time. He just let it happen and went out with a whimper.

He flat out gave up. That's Conor's problem. His biggest problem is that he breaks if it doesn't go his way.

To sum up that rant, he doesn't persevere when faced with adversity...I mean real adversity. You can't dig deep when there's nothing there to dig for. The only times he needed to, he couldn't, and it says a lot about who he really is. He's a quitter.

His BJJ is actually pretty good. His problem is he looks for a way out when the fight is not going his way and he would rather get choked out than pounded out, so he gives up his neck

He had at least 4 blatant fence grabs in the Brandao fight. Similar to cheating he did in the Khabib fight.

Not really. The difference between what Conor did vs everyone else is Conor just held on for dear life. He didn't try reverse position, sweep, attack with subs or try get up. All he did was try tie Khabib up so he didn't give up the same openings. If he tried anything Khabib would have pounded on him like all his other opponents
