Posting here, because this is home, and like an old boxing gym, it's dirty and slow and smelly and true, and duct tape blood with puke and hair and a hairless dog barking in the corner and old men with broken hands wandering around laughing to themselves.

Just my personal short, op ed ( ad hoc ). I like Conor because I like boxing. The old school tenets. I think he has that spirit. I'm gonna make a likely more obnoxious post in the fight forums, but I wanted this here for actual discussion. Not even so much maybe on his boxing, which I think speaks volumes, but the old fight mentality. You have to go back. He has that rare shit. Anyway, just a thread, I'd hope would stick for some conversation regarding old-cloth throw-back fighters. Cheers.

McGregor has this old-school, cocky Peaky Blinders thing, maybe that's what makes him remind people of ancient times.

Conor was born to fight. I'm not really plus or minus on the guy but I really can't think of anything else he'd be good at other than fighting. He'd be in a gym at any time, in the old days he would've obv been a boxer.
Probably nothing special but he'd be fighting as long as fighting has existed as a way to make a living. He wasn't for that plumbing shit as a kid. He really has only one avenue to make money and imo that is fighting.

Ali was a piece of shit. there's very little magic in the world, except for the Packers today, ya know, root for shit that hasn't happened, five dogs go in an alley, the one who comes to your house limps back out a few days later. Life! Cheers.

Conor is an elite MMA striker, possesses amateur boxing ability. He rolls over when pressure is applied and before you spout off, I'm taking about pressure at the highest level in combat sports. Cardio is suspect and only looks to survive when on his back. I respect the fighter but I'm not delusional.

He shoot for a double leg vs Floyd in a boxing match ... & Floyd stuffed that which was purely a testament to his insane reflexes.

Conor is the definiton of a panic wrestler.

Conor describes a panic wrestler ... lol.

That Conor handles pressure well? He gets walked down and gasses out. He couldn't handle Diaz's pressure and got beat up by Floyd like he was fighting Antonio Margarito.

    He's a frontrunner.
