People are saying that the ufc is making a huge mistake by not giving Conor Mcgregor what he wants. That's bullshit. Mcgregor is making the mistake by not following through with the contract he signed. He gave his word that he would do the media obligations when he signed that contract.
If Mcgregor thought that the media obligations were too much, he should have negotiated with the Ufc before he signed the contract. I'm sure they would have came to an agreement, but he signed the contract. You can't just put your name on something and not do what you said you were going to do once everything had been set up.
The UFC was already giving Conor a gift letting him rematch Nate Diaz and keep his belt. And Mcgregor felt entitled to not do the media obligations that he signed for? Diaz was also going to do the Media obligations too, so when it came to preparation, they were both in an even playing field.
Now not only is Conor not going to get Diaz for his next fight, He will be forced to defend his belt at 145 or vacate it and fight a top 5 fighter like Ferguson in lightweight. If there's one thing anyone can tell you, it's that no matter how big you are, if you fuck over the UFC, you are going to pay for it and that is exactly what Conor did. He fucked over what could have been the biggest event in UFC history and he will pay for it.
