I whole heartedly agree that @SKSer45 is selling Conor's defensive skill incredibly short.Excelent post. Ill disagree with boxing defense , he used his understating of distance very well
And mma footwork
He doesn't have the best cardio no question about that lol
He devolved after the Mayweather fight went more traditional and looked slow could be the 2 year lay off and the obvious non motivated hungry fighter
You always twist and distort stats to suite a false narrative. You are truly 1 of the most dishonest posters ever.Conor is 9-2 in the UFC with 2 UFC belts.
Benson Henderson was 11-3 in the UFC with 4 belts.
Just a comparison to put Conor's career into perspective for people.
You always twist and distort stats to suite a false narrative. You are truly 1 of the most dishonest posters ever.
If you are going to count Benson's "title defenses" as "winning a belt," then Conor has won 3 belts you tool. He won a belt vs Mendes
Many people also feel Benson LOST to Thompson and Edgar 2nd time
In what world does defeating Chad Mendes earn you a real belt, and earn the #1 FW status, when Jose Aldo was an active champion and the current #1 FW in the world? You always twist and distort stats to suite a false narrative. You are truly 1 of the most dishonest posters ever.

Conor haters are the worst.
Nah he had a good run, but his chances vs Khabib were pitiful. He had a 5-10% punchers chance. That's it.
The fact that loads of fighters and people made this out to be some kind of intriguing matchup was just embarassing. Incredibly easy fight to call.
I take it you made a huge fortune better on Khabib then?
Thanks for this new info.Conor is good but he was never that good. There are lightweights in bellator who would take him down and smash him. Conor was never that good, he is one dimensional and not well rounded very much at all. All he can do is use his boxing skills range distance speed, accuracy, but he has no ground game.
Somebody with no ground game doesn't get very far, I do believe eddie threw that fight with Conor because the eddie we know would of shot for a takedown. He would of used his wrestling if he really wanted to win.
He could barely even beat nate diaz, that just shows how Conor barely belongs in the top 10. That decision arguably could of went to him but it didn't because the judges love Conor. Conor's style only works back in the day when nobody knew how to counter it. These days anybody can beat Conor.
*FixedTS was just kissing Conor’s ass a few days ago and now he’s making shit threads about a man he once loved Can’t get much worse than Conor fangirls* at this stage
Maybe he's actually trying to galvanize the nuthuggers by pretending not to like him.As a Conor hater, this thread is embarrassing. TS makes Conor-haters look as out of touch as Conor-nuthuggers.
Those are good points you madeI whole heartedly agree that @SKSer45 is selling Conor's defensive skill incredibly short.
Nate couldn't touch Conor clean all night
Conor's defensive skill is on another level.
If you actually understand fighting, and know what you are watching, you would know how Conor's game is predicated on drawing out responses to slip and counter.
Conor's countering style doesn't exist without the defesnive skill he has backing it up
How else do you think Conor is countering, and why hes able to sting much bigger fighters like Nate and Alvarez consistently?
Because he comes back with the counter, after making them miss, while they are out of position.
Conor was even making Floyd miss in a boxing ring:
No one in MMA has ever had defensive skill like that. Not even boxers have made Floyd miss, as much as Conor did.
Conor has incredibly defensive skill, incredible defensive responsibility, and immaculate defensive awareness. Conor has the best defense+counter punching MMA history has ever seen. Anderson couldn't even make Bonnar miss consistently. Conor was making Floyd miss in a boxing ring. It really is a shame how underrated and underappreciated Conor is. Noobs watch Conor eating 1 fluke punch against Khabib, and think that is some how indicative of anything. Never mind that they go on to ignore how a gassed Conor still out struck the fuck out of Khabib in rounds 3 and 4 (after round 2)
Beats Holloway - was 21 years old and was a fucking white belt with no wrestling experience
Beats Brandao - midget
Beats Porier - i admit this is a good win
Beats Siver - midget
Beats Creamy Mendes - got ragdolled by a 5,4 midget and only lost because chad gassed out
Beats Aldo the 10 yr undefeated FW goat - fluke win
Beats Nate at WW by 5 ROUND DECISION after an embarrassing loss - arguably he didn't even win that fight, couldnt even finish nate
Beats LW champ Alverez - eddie only shot for one takedown that entire fight, probably threw the fight to help promote conor even more
there are excuses for this guys entire career because they set it all up for him to win.
same thing they are doing with israel, beat 44 year old ranked 16 silva and is now getting a fucking title shot.
Thanks brother. One of the best posters on the sherdog! Those are good points you made
More bullshit from a Connie Mcrapist shit fanboy, Max was a white belt when they fought. Conor was not.
That already tells you enough about their experience levels at the time.
he must go back to bouncing!Conor is good but he was never that good. There are lightweights in bellator who would take him down and smash him. He faced a better fighter. He is a good fighter yet he tapped out like a little kid? He quit when things got tough.
