Conor Vs Nate 2 was a great fight and here's my round by round

Any fight where you don't see a belt holder gassing out and running away multiple times so ìt doesnt look like dada vs kimbo wld be better? I dont have to pick an amazing fight to do better than conor/nate 2. Comparing it to any good fight is a joke. Rory vs robbie 2? Bisping vs anderson? Whittaker romero 2? These are actually good fights. Nate vs conor 2 was not a good fight

Have you ever seen nate look like such a slow lumbering plodding mess in any other fight?
Yes, Ive seen Nate have bad fights before. Did you just compare this fight to Dada and Kimbo? LOL k

The only thing I can say is nate won the war and conor won the fight. I know that can be a dumb thing to say but it is what it is.
Fair, IMO I don't think either of these two were going to stop fighting until someone died.

I'm shaking my head at all these kids on here that can't even read a short paragraph written in basic english.

How do you dyslexic, add-stricken motherfuckers get through life? How do you even form opinions on anything when your data intake is limited to gifs, top 10 lists and single sentence forum posts?

Agree, but I'll add one more thing. It's fine if someone doesn't feel like reading something, but the part where they openly brag about it is what baffles me. Being too lazy to read isn't something to be proud of, and if your only contribution to a discussion is that you didn't read the discussion, what the hell's the point?

Minus all the trash talk and hype. Those two shared blood and had a classic scrap

What was the war he won? Serious question, I feel like I must be missing something.

Nate's face looked like a swollen beetroot and his speech was slurred after the fight. Connie mcgoober looked untouched.

I have to ag
Diaz said he had two injuries coming into that fight, anyone remotely acquainted with his fighting style knows whats up

Love nate but he looked like shit in that fight. Coupled with conors frequent running away, it was an embarassment. The only reason it gets so hyped is because for a lot of casuals its the 2nd mma fight they ever saw, and also the only one where conor won
I have to agree. It was actualy pretty shitty fight. Nate couldn't check the leg kicks, each of them clearly took a round off, Conor was running away a lot and Diaz didn't run after him to finnish him. It was everything but an exciting fight. Sure, the casuals who love the build up more than the actual fight loved it. But it was a shit fight. Conor won BTW.

I just rewatched that fight and Conor won

What's up with people overblowing the 5th for Diaz? The takedown/gnp was only for the last 10 seconds and there was no major damage

People talk like it was 5 minutes of fedor vs nog style gnp

They also completely ignore that Conor defended 5 TDs and scored one of his own right before Diaz did.

It’s fine to think Diaz’s TD edged him the round, but yeah people overblow that moment massively based on what they feel might have happened with more time.

Both fights were awesome.

I do hope the trilogy happens down the road.

Ive watched fight so many times trying to score it and I'd say half the time had Conor edging it out and the other half gave a 10-10 round which led to a draw (forget which round)

Theres no guarantee of anyone fighting 3 times and no one thinks about 'losing' to have a trilogy. Ridiculous how you think these guys work.

Yah, agreed... That’s insane. I also think being 2-0 over McGregor would give him more earning potential. Being 1-1 with him already increased his financial position..

I always thought it was crazy that Dana said Nate wasn’t a “needle mover”... I understand marketing the company, but when you have a built in marketing tool like the Diaz brothers, why not take advantage... I know he did a little with nick and that they can both be difficult to work with.. but use that shit.. jeez..

It might be the best fight of all time in the UFC. Top 3 at least.. What a war baby..

Others would be

Jones/Gus
Wandy/Chuck
Hendo/Shogun 1

You'll give yourself a heart attack with all that salt man.. .

I was drunk the first time I watched it and I remember I was bummed because I didn't want either guy to lose. It was one of those for me. Love the Diaz bro's and McGregor as fighters. I watched the fight again and sober with sound off and here is what I noticed with the round by round. Looking forward to Conors return and any future Diaz fights so I thought I'd watch it again, share it, and maybe get some opinions.

RD 1:
- McGregor landed at will and put on a striking clinic between the leg kicks and combos
- McGregor landed a knockdown
- All things considered Diaz defended well and didn't take TOO much damage
= 10-9 Conor

RD 2:
- Again Mcgregor starts the round landing at will and scores two back to back knockdowns
- Half way through the round Diaz lands a perfect straight to the body and Conor tries to smile it off but it clearly hurt him and took some his wind
- Good back and forth exchanges in the second half of the round
= 10- 9 Conor (because of the two knockdowns)

RD 3:
- Conor is noticeably gassing and I think it had to do with the body shot/shots
- Diaz noticed the gassing and swarmed McGregor for most of the rounds. However if Diaz paced himself a little more he may have been able to take over the fight completely in this round
- McGregor took the round off but still defended decently as most of Diaz's swarming was deflected off his shoulders
- Only reason this wasn't a 10-8 Diaz was because of Conor deflecting shots and countering with really nice elbows from the clinch breaks
= 10-9 Diaz

RD 4:
- Diaz was gassing, he put a lot into trying to finish Conor in the 3rd. I know people believe Diaz bro's can't gas but Diaz was certainly tired and somewhat took the round off
- Conor had some gas back and won the round barely with better shots and just landed more
= 10-9 Conor

RD 5:
- Both fighters were gassed but Conor took the round off again possibly thinking he was up 3. Diaz corner also felt Conor was up because Gil said "you have to finish him" before the round started
- Diaz swarmed Conor again and got a late takedown
- Conor looked at the clock many times indicating he was riding this one out which was stupid and risky
- The only way Conor didn't get 10-8'd again was because of his countering out of the clinch. He was landing really nice elbows all fight
= 10-9 Diaz

Total was the same as two of the judges at 48-47 Conor.

Also, considering how much hate Kavanaugh gets and how silly he can be on twitter, the man is an amazing corner-man and that definitely played a big part in the fight. The advice was brilliant (I turned on sound for the corner segments).

Considering the stakes and the action, this was one for the ages.

I'd like to here what the shertards have to say but especially the sherdoggers who have in ring experience (boxing, KB, or MMA). I have a few kickboxing bouts and I've been in some tough situations in those so seeing what these two were able to do with that much output was really something.

Would love to see a trilogy match eventually.

Here's the fight

Im amazed how nobody noticed the most significant strike of the whole match.. not a single reporter talked about it after the fact, not a single sherdogger, non of my friends noticed it, you didnt notice it... do I have super human vision or something? In the public locker room footage after the fight McGregors team and McGregor talk about this fight changing shot, Diaz admits hurting where that shot landed in hes post fight interview... yet no mention?

Hint: a teep to the body of Diaz re opens a training camp injury. The second this shot landed, Diaz stopped hes forword preassure and looked gassed for the rest of the fight. Can u find the round and time?

Weren't both fights "fight of the year"? Also, Nate gassed after that flurry IMO.

I had it a draw, but if I had to choose I'd say McGreggor won it.

But, I have two suspicions -

1. Of course the Las Vegas judges all decided it for McGreggor, because he draws more money.

2. I wonder if Nate didn'r fight as hard as he absolutely could have, because a trilogy would net him the biggest payday of his life.

My bad about the 'WhoTheHellCares.gif' I'm in a bad mood.

What’s going on pal? Why are you cranky?

lol at considering two 10-8 rounds for Diaz and none for Conor.

Diaz took more damage in each the 1st, 2nd, and 4th rounds than Conor took in the 3rd and 5th combined.

In the 10-point must system you can argue 48-47 Conor. But if it was the whole fight with a percentage out of 100, Conor won 80-20. At worst 70-30, just because Diaz finished stronger.

anyone who doesn't see that the fight was clearly 48-47 conor (1-2-4) is straight up stupid, or just blinded by their hate for conor.

people can make all the jokes they want about conor struggling with nate, but styles make fights.

name me some guys who have stood with nate the whole fight and won, guys without a wrestling threat. literally everyone nate has lost to except conor has wrestled him.
