This is the fight to make. Neither of these guys should be rewarded with an instant tilte fight right now. When khabib pulled out, he had to go back and beat barboza to get the title shot. When Tony pulled out, Khabib accepted fights against max, then eventually fought Al on 24 hours. Conor just disgraced the sport and shouldn't be rewarded with a title shot, especially after refusing to defend it for over 500 days.

Khabib saved the card by accepting short notice fights. He should be rewarded with the GSP fight.

Khabib asked for this fight at 155. In the words of Joey Karate, pay the fuckin tention.
 
Agreed 100%. The fight is the one to make, but not just yet. Khabib's gotten 2 fights in, let Tony get 1 fight in. Then the two can fight for the tile or unify.
 
Before Conor gets to Ferguson he needs to get through Conor first
 
keep in mind khabib was offered title fight vs tony in october but he said he wanted to wait until end of year so its not like he"had" to beat someone else. He was offered the title fight over kevin lee.

Also khabib wasnt the champ at that time, currently tony was the champ and had his belt stripped due to injury. That should help push him to front of the line.
 
The only word I’ve heard on Tony is he needs surgery. So that is what all of my Tony related posts are based on. Unless I find out for sure anything different. So Tony is out.

Convict McGregor is retired. And he wants no part of Khabib, or Tony anyway. So Convict is out.

Khabib wants GSP. If GSP’s colitis is under control with medication. And if he’s medically cleared to fight. Then this is the fight to make.

also, while khabib is the champ, lets not act he has done so much that he deserves protecting from either tony or connor. Khabib has pulled out of more fights then tony and its 2-2 between them now and he got belt beating the #11 guy.

Conor or Ferguson deserves a title shot and Khabib does not deserve GSP is the correct answer.
 
Why would Tony fight an unranked LW for a title shot? At least give him someone in the top 15.

These are the fights to make. Khabib needs to defend, he fought an 11th ranked contender for god sake he honestly shouldn't sleep at night knowing he didn't beat the top guys (Conor/Tony) for the belt.

Right now he is a paper champ until he beats either Tony or Conor.
 
I like the fight BUT if the winner then beats Khabib they've got no one left to fight for the belt and you're looking at a rematch.
Conor, Khabib and Tony shouldn't be fighting each other unless it's a title fight.
