Humble in victory and humble and defeat. People can say whatever they want, but Conor was brave enough to take a challenge many fighters wouldn't. A loss might come along your way when you don't stay in your comfort zone.

No excuses were made, he didn't bitch and moan. He congratulated Nate and now he'll move on with his life like it always should be. Props to him.

id say he took it more like a prison bitch

hahaha look at his cowardly outclassed face

Outclassed on the ground? Maybe. But why do you say it was in a "cowardly" way? That's the face people have when they're being choked out. It happens. He lost, but at the end of the day he wasn't whining or making excuses. I can appreciate that.

Conor is good, he just isn't Nate Diaz good.

Did you miss the part where he stated several times that he lost because he fought a bigger fighter?

I don't take that as an excuse. He said that Nate was bigger and didn't feel his shots like most featherweights do. It's not an excuse, it's a fact.

But he wasn't bigger. They weighed in at the same weight.

Unless he means that Nate was bigger than the FWs.

Cowardly after he took a short notice fight against a bigger man 2 weight divisions up.

Says you from the safety of your little room as you sit hunched behind your keyboard. People like you disgust me. Conor has more bravery in his left testicle than you will have in your entire life if you lived 10,000 years.

You missed the bit where he said he lost against a bigger fighter ... because he didn't adapt his game plan and striking to a guy who couldn't be knocked out as easily. It sounds like a completely correct analysis to me.

He said dozens of times that he lost because of going up two weight classes which isn't true at all. That was his go to excuse all night long. He said if it wasn't for Nate's size he would have been knocked out easy in round one. After a couple weeks of calling Nate fat and pudgy and soft and out of shape suddenly that "baby fat" is some huge advantage that couldn't be overcome despite Conor being a better fighter.

How the hell is that not making excuses?

Basically, he rephrased what nate said in the press conference, Conor only fights midgets

tapped like a bitch tho
I have tapped training BJJ, more than once.

Are you so good/tough/skilled that you've never tapped? Or have you just never trained shit in your life and like making tough-guy comments from behind your keyboard?

He did, in a way.

But he also talked a lot about how he "Took a risk coming up to 170"

Bullshit. It's not like he was fighting a welterweight, he was fighting a lightweight on 10 days notice who wasn't sparring at all. The person taking the risk here was Nate. Humble in defeat? He goes in there throwing capoiera shit at a Diaz bro? Connie thought he was Mike Tyson already, and thought nobody could take his power. Wrong.

Now back to 145 to get destroyed by Frankie - another guy with chin, heart, and cardio to spare.

First he said that he fought bigger men before and that in true warfare weight divisions don't matter and now he got beat by a heavier man. We've seen him on salads, we saw him on steaks, let's see him on crow.

I agree but the haters will keep hating

These idiots don't know that because they have never felt what its like to be choked.

Lol at Internet tough guys calling him a bitch. Anderson tapped, Fedor tapped, GSP tapped (to strikes). Get in the cage, I bet you tough guys would never tap though right? Fucking clowns.

this

"i took a big chance moving up in weight"...yeah he was talking about cleaning out the entire roster. must have got a little bit of brazilian in him somewhere along the line.

got beat by an endurance athlete on his day off

Million dollar fight, entire career on the line and taps quicker than a women, ROFL.

To an extent, yeah. But he did bitch. He used weight as the excuse. He used "energy management" as the excuse. He used excuses that so-called backed him in the corner, making it seem like he was at the full disadvantage, but Nate was given all the advantages. The reality of it was he was preparing for a LW champ. That fell through. So he asked for a FW fight. Those fell through. So since he was already at LW, he hand-picked Diaz who wasn't training MMA, but yet again on vacation like Mendes. He could've asked for another LW that was prepared, but he didn't. He yet again chose the guy on vacation. The other thing is he complained about weight. They weighed virtually the same at weigh-ins. He was bragging about how liberal it was to not have to worry about making weight and he can eat and train freely before the fight. Then he spoke about energy. The out-of-shape, soft body, skinny-fat "gazelle" beat a guy that was training for "anyone'". Keep in mind, Conor's big on bragging about never training for one man but for "training for war" since everyone's always backing out.

Truth be told, he finally had to fight someone in his true weight class and he was shown that he's nothing special. He spent the whole fight head hunting and lost confidence once he realized his left hand isn't so magical when he's not turning into a skeleton to fight way smaller guys. But like I said in another thread, one thing I will give him credit for is that he showed up to the post-fight press conference. He made a few excuses, but held his tongue in spots I thought I'd fire off at. Ronda never showed nor gave interviews after for months. Dana didn't even stay last night.
