Ronda's gate is only expected to be $6 million USD ($8 Million AUD) while UFC 189 was in the $7 Millions USD. More people are showing up to UFC 193 than UFC 129, but the gate for 129 was $11 Million USD. In other words, the tickets are a lot cheaper to try and make Ronda look good by having a higher number of people in the Stadium.

Not going to lie. I miss the weekly Dana interviews. Too bad the UFC told him to slow down with all of his interviews.

She sold more PPVs so....

It helps being North American. Image Anderson's PPV numbers if Brazil had to pay for PPV's, he would blow GSP out the waters.

Likewise if Ireland, and UK paid for PPV's, Conor what out sell Ronda. What she has going is she is an American darling. But Conor will fill any stadium out with more people and in a faster time because that is not limited to North America. Same reason why he had a higher gate in a smaller venue, people who don't live in PPV markets are willing to travel for him and pay more at the gates.

when connor and ronda get 4 one million dollar+ headlined ppv buyrates like brock then talk to me

Dana looked like he was gonna puke towards the end there.

You think if brazilians had to pay for ppv's, Anderson would've done huge numbers? I doubt a ton of people in Brazil would be actually buying them. Especially if they cost the same price as they do here.

What is the gate for UFC 194 gonna be tho

They pay for the combate channel probably around 20 bucks but i dont know.
I know his fight vs Okami was on for free but i dont know if the others were, they show Velazquez fights in mexico for free which is strange because its not even on a major channel, i guess they wanna get people hooked.

It's not about "trying to make Ronda look good", it's about packing out a big stadium in a market the UFC still hasn't cracked, and which will always be problematic compared to the US because of time zone issues.

2:19 into the video:
Let's see by the end of 2015. Let's see who has the highest PPV numbers. Let's see who has the highest gate. Let's see who has the highest attendance.

Conor took the PPV record with UFC 189 at 825k. Ronda broke it with UFC 190 at 900k. Ronda has 193 left and Conor has 194 left. They could both beat 900k, but let's see who takes this record for 2015. I think it could go either way.

If the estimate in the Dana video posted above is correct, then Conor has the gate record for 2015 with UFC 189 at $7.2 mil. 194 has a chance of beating that. Either way though Conor will take that record.

High attendances actually aren't possible in Vegas, at least until the new arena opens up next year. Conor set a Vegas attendance record at UFC 189, and beat even Mayweather/Pacquiao in that regard. But UFC 188 in Mexico City holds the current record. Obviously UFC 193 will beat that, and Ronda wins this one.

Gate: Conor
Attendance: Ronda
PPV: currently Ronda, but by the end of 2015, who knows?

The gate and attendance stats aren't great for comparing Ronda vs. Conor. Vegas tickets are expensive so the gates are often high. The Melbourne show was probably gonna do well attendance-wise with or without Ronda, as Lawler/Condit was set as original headliner. I'm sure Conor would have broken the attendance record too had he headlined UFC 193. While the PPV stats also aren't a perfect way to compare Ronda vs. Conor, they're better than gate and attendance, and will give a decent indicator of where they both are.

Edit: to clarify, I'm just talking about 2015 records, and who out of Ronda and Conor has had a better 2015.

Why do you give two shits about popularity? It's a fight, not some pop singing competition

For some reson i was thinking what Dana had just eaten and what his breath smelled like..

No

A solid card has higher gate than Ronda

Ronda > Conor

I don't think that's true. It was the McGregor show. The amount of Irish fans in attendance and at the weigh-ins is well documented.

The numbers don't lie.
