He first caught everyone's attention in 2013 and 2014 headlining a couple of Fight Night's. It was only last year when he first carried some PPV's and now he is already one of the highest selling MMA fighters ever. So that's just a little over 2 years.

I would agree. Conor grew from 145 pounds to 168 pounds.

Ronda is growing the fastest. She's gotta be at least 170 by now.

Conor has certainly done well in a short time. But I wonder whether he's destined to flame out quickly.

Bottom line is that the ground game is his Achilles heel.

If losing on the ground becomes a trend for him, he will have difficulty maintaining his star power.

And he will feel like MC Hammer, wishing he'd not spent so foolishly

He WAS the fastest, till he hit that big-ass speed bump, called Nate Diaz

Brock Lesnar.
Total fights: 8, (7 UFC)

In a 4 fight stretch Brock sold 4,860,000 PPV.

McGregor's not far off that after headlining three and not including the Poirier fight which was the fight that brought eyes to that card. 900k, 1.2 million and they're saying 1.5 million for this latest one which is probably overblown by a few hundred thousand. He will most likely headline UFC 200 so could well surpass Brock's numbers from four fights. Plus he's only 27.

Hands down fastest rising home grown star. People have tried to say Ronda but she ha years of UFC muscle. Conor didn't even headline his first ppv until 189. He only headlined two cards before that in Boston and Dublin. Every records out there, he has broken and if not, he will break. Rumor is UFC 196 did over 1.5 million PPV's, and if that happened, this proves the point.

Yes, Conor is a whole lot of things!!

Awesome... Now can I ask what any of you get out of this ? Fans of Brock, Ronda, or Conor ? It just seems like so much grasping at straws. Oh... the fighter I like is more " popular " than the fighter you like. I just have a real issue with how this is some kind of validation for certain ppl totally losing control of themselves. All of them LOST the biggest fight of their lives. But hey... As long as you still have this useless boast to hang your hats on.

It's the fucking grade 1 sandbox all over again. My dad can beat up your dad.

in the words of the great Mike Goldberg, he had a 'meteoric rise'.
