Ferguson just does not excite him as it would likely be a blow out. Conor may be off his rocker, a shit boyfriend, money obsessed, totally deluded, but he is not a duck. I think he wants the Khabib fight, some 'insurmountable/undefeated' type fighter like Aldo/Mayweather, but Khabib needs to come thru and prove he can show up. To me, Barboza, TFerg, Gaethe, MJ and Eddie are all great fighters, but a clear tier below Conor and Khabib at LW. SInce 2014, many fans have been clamouring for a Khabib and Conor fight, with both making great fighters look look absolute bums; a dream match, with MMA's arguable the best striker ever vs the best grappler.

They're waiting to see how the Khabib fight goes down before making any concrete decisions.

If Khabib just demolishes Barboza / makes weight with no issue, he has just as strong of a case for a title shot as Tony anyways. Nobody would really complain if he fought him. I mean, he's a tougher stylistic opponent anyways.

Yeah - it is just not a good match up for Ferg. If Lando had any finishing composure, he would have easily put away Tony. Like with Eddie, Conor haters think Tony will have the best qualities of Chad and Diaz, but that simply is not the case. Tony is on an MJ, Eddie, Dustin, Barboza type level, and that is below where Conor and Khabib are.
