News Conor McGregor on Dustin Poirier rematch, Khabib's retirement and relationship with UFC

Getting dropped 3x wins you a decision?

Why not?

Every man and his dog knows jmm should have got the nod v manny in their first fight (and third), despite being knocked down 3 times in the opening round

People call floyd a runner for using footwork to move away and back against the ropes

Conor literally fucking ran on a number of occasions

Nate 2-0, fuck the judges Nate proved he is the better man over 2 fights

Nate got pwned.

Why is this poser still wanting to fight Nate again? All he seems to want are undeserved title shots, rematches, or match ups against people ranked far lower than him, like Diego Sanchez.

Good interview. Always inspiring to listen to Conor speak.

Could be wrong but I feel like interest in Conor is waning a bit.

He’s had nothing but bad press for years and he’s been so inactive.

He’ll still probably pull the highest PPV numbers the UFC will do but I think his position as a crossover star/cultural figure has eroded quite a bit.

If Dana can do what he intends to and use a win over Poirier as a springboard into a Khabib rematch with fans back then it will be huge. However that is about a mixture of the two of them and the history, as well as Khabibs hugely increased popularity.

Conor used to be big regardless of opponent but I’m not sure that is as much the case now.

He's so bitter that Khabib went out on top it's risible. The rematch would go exactly the same way.

That said I think Conor will smash Dustin with ease, and it's a good win for him at this stage tbf, Dustin is elite.

Went out on top? Lmao so every champ should just retire then and hold on to their mystique?

You can't compare Conor turning his back to return to the center of the cage to what Mayweather does and also when has Mayweather ever lost a decision? Not saying he shouldn't have but he never has. In boxing there are 12rds so you can't really say that. In MMA if getting dropped twice equalled a 10-7. You'd be pretty much sol in a 3 rder and in a 5 rder you would need to win all 4 of the other rds. The thing is Nate had like 2 or 3 good minutes in a fight that was 25 minutes long and that's supposed to win him the decision? Even under MMA scoring rd 2 should have been 10-8 for Conor.

The POS that set the record for the longest non-defense in the sport's history talking about "scurrying away" from a belt. The irony... coming from the only guy in the sport's history (alongside GDR in WMMA) who was stripped due to outright cowardice.

I missed him too buddy. Cheer up he's fighting next week

Conor has lost his wit, he used to be so funny and charismatic, now he's much more reserved
He hasn't seemed confident in his gimmick in a very long time

hilarious. khabib is rent free.

glad to see he took the poirier fight. Anxious to see if France can beat Ireland. And if hardwork beats talent.

Conor obviously won 3 rounds to 2. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional. That said, he looked like shit and was his most underwhelming win by far. Definitely not a win to brag about

Breaking news: Fighter pumps up his opponent to make himself look better in victory or defeat.
