Conor McGregor is pretty much just a striker, with some grappling defense, he should stick to Boxing

He taps fairly quickly, he doesn't really show much off his back, his three losses are all from grappling and submission, only has 1 submission the rest of his wins are by KO mostly from punches standing, might as well just stay in boxing with his funky style maybe he will confuse people with that wide stance since he doesn't have to worry about low kicks.

If he goes back to MMA he will get beaten by Khabib or Ferguson or another strong grappler with a good submission game and size, for a super massive paycut, even if he loses in his pro boxing debut if he goes the distance and puts up a competitive fight he can still fight an aging boxer like Manny Pacquiao or Miguel Cotto and make an average of 40 million a fight.

I can see Conor staying in boxing, he can fight Shane Mosley make an easy 20 million selling another million buys from casuals, he beats Mosley the casuals will get hyped again, he can then face someone like Timothy Bradley knock him out cold at 154, that fight will sell over 1 million buys, he will make at least 30 million there, then fight the winner of Horn vs Pacquiao rematch, that fight will probably do 2 .7 million buys and Mcgregor could wind up with 50 million plus for that fight if he fights Pacquiao he will probably knock him silly in 3 rounds, and then his final fight should be Canelo Alvarez or GGG whoever wins that fight, that fight will get him another 50 plus million with probably 3 million buy rate.

He won't make anywhere near that in UFC because UFC model doesnt allow the fighter to make that type of money since its a company based investment they do all the promotion and investing not the fighters.

If he was good enough to be a pro boxer, he would have done so.

Huge Conor fan but TS is right. Conor is extremely limited and it is a liability that stops him from accepting fights with Tony or Khabib, or defending his title.

Ts sounds like he knows what he's talking aboot

After this payday no telling what he will do... I want to see him defend a UFC belt personal.

If he manages to look fairly decent against floyd. He probably will box again, it all depends on how floyd beats him. If floyd just clowns him and then stops him then he should go back to mma.

If he manages to last 12 and maybe even hit floyd good once he could box against someone again.

I want to see him fight khabib or tony though, he belongs in the UFC and i think hes the best at 155.

Well, I mean, I like Conor as an MMA fighter, but jeez, his fans are really drinkin' the Cool-Aid these days....

I can't believe I wasted time reading that.

J/K, I didn't read that load of load a crap

Conor got lucky in his fight in reality he's not even top 15 LW.

But I disagree with OP boxing is a much deeper sport with great talent in the lighter weight classes Conor would go nowhere in boxing he would be a regional talent at best and make 6/6 on undercards for the rest of his career.

Yeah his fans are definitely somethin else. August 27th ( the day after the fight) should be interesting. I imagine lots of triggered conor fans freaking the fuck out because he got embarrassed the night before

he has like 0 boxing bouts and you're already talking about a bunch of boxing matches that won't happen.

talk about putting a cart before a horse...

Would you guys bone a ring card girl if you had to do it while Jose Aldo was watching and yodeling?

Seriously, I gots to know real quick like.

The window is closing on this opportunity in like 15 minutes. Don't ask me any questions.

Conor has no future in boxing just this one big fight. After he gets smoked by Floyd there probably isn't anything left for him in boxing. He'd get lit up by the top 20 guys in his weight class and the only reason he'd get anything after Floyd is his name and I don't think that's even enough to have a boxing career. You'd actually have to be good to have a boxing career.Kudos to him for getting this monster fight but after this the jig is up,fool me once type thing.

Do you want to see him seriously injured or have an incredibly short career, OP?
