I don't think they have more than some superficial things in common.
Wilder fought (Fury and to an extent Ortiz aside) mostly sub-par competition, although being undersized in almost all of his fights, whereas Conor was damn big at featherweight, but has faced and beaten way better competition during a longer period of time.
Conor - while having good power - is mostly an intelligent technician in his sport, whereas Wilder relies heavily on his power and speed alone.
