I don't remember reading this before. I also didn't know Kavanagh gave Conor his brown belt after beating Poirier (Anthony Pettis got his brown belt last year).

Will he get promoted to black belt if he beats Nate in the rematch?
“After my first defeat, I had no respect for jiu-jitsu ” McGregor reported to the press in Los Angeles. He elaborated that he had little respect for the grappling arts and, as a boxer, he depended on his strength alone to break free of them. However, he was proven sorely wrong during the fight that lead to his next loss. His loss against Duffy lead him to realize that he needed to up his game through a jiu jitsu journey, relating that his resolve was to never let that happen again.

He was gassed and hurt.

First round is the one that says anything about his ground. Anyone can get finished when gassed and hurt.

Inb4 Conor fans claiming that his jiu-jitsu is solid, after all, "he swept Nate Diaz".

Gym's don't give the belts out, qualified personal do that and I'm not a bjj practitioner either, in fact I hate Gi's. Which is why I didn't learn judo.

Coach Kavanagh giving him his brown belt after the Poirier fight? Hopefully it wasn't because of the results from that fight.

Looks more like he gave him a belt with his name on it, not due to earning his brown belt in JJ.

Kavanagh is a legit black belt, but you know better than him about when his student deserves to be promoted? maybe he was just wanting to give it to Conor in a public place but always intended on promoting him. It doesnt necessarily mean he promoted him because of the Dustin fight

It is very practical in self-defense scenarios.
People usually wear something more than Reebok speedos in the street.

25 mill ?

Oh it seems Conor's monetary expectations went way up.. and then Lorenzo said: too greedy.

I get it, I just have avoided Gi based martial arts.

A lot of people are gassed and hurt when they end up on the ground. They don't get immediately swept, mounted, trap their own arm for a RNC and refuse to fight off the guys hands though.

Conor wasn't gassed or hurt when he showed almost zero capabilities off of his back when Mendes took him down.

You were 1 post too late. :D

Damn, his fans are fast. There's a joke around saying that they defend him just as fast as he taps, but I'll try and not pull this card on them. Oh shit, I just did.

you are correct he swept nate

If by swept you mean Nate amateurishly stood over him to throw punches then kinda flopped over to his back because he gives absolutely no fucks about being on his back, evidenced by almost every single fight in his career.

Lol at Conor having the same belt as Pettis and Ferguson...
