I used to be against this idea, thinking Gaethje is more deserving to be next in line.

But now knowing that he turned down the Charles Oliviera UFC Brazil fight, he indirectly cost Islam Makhachev his shot with Fighter Kevin Lee....because UFC then used FKL for the main event against the Brazilian.

Pink Goof is right when he says Gaethje isnt next in line because he's turned down fights in the past.

Unless Justin fights Islam or another tough opponent between now and then, he shouldn't be next in line for a LW TS.

I may sound like a Contard now but oh well

I'd rather not have any possibility of Conrat holding a division hostage for multiple years thank you.

And Conard didn't fight for years and only returned after essentially choosing Cowboy.

Weird you criticize Justin for it but ignore Conor's cherry picking.

He says he wants to be active now, 3 fights a year, if he beats Cowboy tomorrow that's a more recent win than Justin.

But IF Justin fights and wins in the meantime he may be more deserving.

No title shot for Conman, sorry. He needs to beat the winner of Felder/hooker and Gaethje

Even if he sits it out? That will be a year or more of inactivity

Still much, much better than 1 win in 3 years.

I’d say a fight vs Gaethje, Dustin, or Nate 3 should be next in line. MAYBE the winner of Oliveira/Kevin Lee if he has serious hopes of getting a title shot.

Justin literally just KO'd Cowboy a few months ago. Are you really trying to pretend Conor beating the same fighter and making a "promise" puts him above someone who is actually on a win streak?

Man, you're last sentence was right. You're a tard.

Who fights Khabib next then if Conor is fighting someone else? Or out of respect who fights Tony in the unlikely event that he wins.

I'm no Conor fan but Gaethje cost Islam Makhachev his first top-10 opponent.

Conor's last win at LW was 3 years ago.

Justin beat Vick, Barboza and Cowboy in the last year at LW.

There really is no discussion to be had.

So Conor is more deserving because he would've had one win in over 3 years instead of Gaethje who is on a 3 fight win streak since Conor bailed, came back, and bailed again after a loss? Conor is automatically more deserving than anyone else in the division? Quality deduction.

Then who should next? Not Gaethje because he's sitting around doing nothing and his inactivity indirectly cost Islam his fight.

Conor wants a quick turnaround, Gaethje makes sense as an opponent. It would be a perfect #1 contender fight around the same time as Khabib vs Tony

Oh I agree that Gaethje should NOT be next in line.

I think the magnitude of a fight like Khabib vs Tony is so big that you don’t need another title shot in the division for a while. Maybe the end of the year or Early 2021.

I’d say let the division sort itself out in the meantime for a clear cut number one contender.

    Oliveira vs Lee

    Conor vs Gaethje

Islam FINALLY not ducked anymore by Top 10

    etc.
