Your thoughts please. In my opinion, he only managed that because other fighters are not allowed the same and he held on to the FW belt without defending long enough to challenge for another.

It's artificial. He never defended the 145 belt and the win over Aldo was a fluke KO that wouldn't have played out the same way if they fought a 2nd time. Not defending a belt and then jump straight to a title shot in another division reeks of fuckery, nobody else gets opportunities like that.

It's overrated because he was basically just allowed to keep the featherweight belt until he won the lightweight belt so he could be paraded as the first two-weight world champ, when in reality he was just the first guy who was allowed to attempt the feat.

His wins are legit though.

seems weird that they gave it to him so fast but you can't deny that he won fair and square. clearly was good enough to beat both champions. still not clear if he's good enough to defend the belts.

it's just unfortunate that other champions weren't given that same opportunity/took the same initiatives - not that some weren't offered and chose to deny it, though.

They love to say "The only person to hold two UFC titles in different weight classes at the same time" but how many fighters have been able given the chance to do it?

So yeah, it is overrated in a sense that he's the only one who really had the chance to do it.

I certainly think it's worth something, but I'd say that different combinations of belts would be more of an achievement. I don't think holding two belts from adjacent weight classes lightweight and below is as big an achievement as it would be holding two from welterweight up. Holding 185 & 205 or 205 & HW would be nuts. Jones could conceivably (but not likely) achieve the latter and I think Silva could have achieved the former if he'd timed it right.

His career in general is overrated, by some. Depends on who you're asking about. Of course it's overrated, though. It was a hypejob to make money. He got fast tracked and jumped the line twice. Did nothing that would solidify either championship

Gsp Silva and Jones would have been given the same chance but all were scared to.

Only conor manned up and did it. True goat.

To me it wont means as much but if he defends both, then its pretty impressive.

Still overrated. All the other champs that were given a chance, can you tell me did they defend their belts?

it's only overrated if you're bitter as fuck.
this

before conor knocked out aldo it was such a huge feat.

after ah aldo wasn't that good. fluke , past his prime

before he knocked out eddie lightweights were too big and 'everyone beats nate' 'wrestlers' and there were divisions "FOR A REASON" even dana white said this

after eddie got knocked out ofc he was never good right? and 2 belts simultaneously is easy

Hendo was the real first two division champ in UFC .. sorry conor ... he was way back in 2009 your a bit late
