As a former Conor hater, over time I've just become a Conor disliker. I'm not even mad at what happened. It was so stupid how easily all that hype of a war it's gonna be died in less than a minute with no competitiveness whatsoever that it just became entertaining. Plus, if Conor keeps up this good guy thing I could actually support him. I think his mouth and "I'm a god" attitude is what people don't like anyway. His fights are entertaining that he doesn't need that attitude, at least not anymore. I MAY actually start to support him if he stays at WW and doesn't revert back to his criminal and trashy ways. He doesn't deserve Khabib no matter how you spin it though, fan of Conor or not.
No reason to be mad. Most people called this months in advance. Cowboy practically told you he was going in to get KO'd lol. Nothing worth being mad about.
Pretty much, expected result for most of us tbh. Sure we would have loved to see cowboy catch him with one of those lanky kicks off the right hand like he likes to throw, but most of us knew it was probably a long shot and that Cowboy would go into Lawn Chair mode.
The reason why people are mad is because of the blatant favoritism. Not everyone is a McGregor fan, and it rubs people the wrong way when the fighter they are rooting for is competing against stacked competition.
Yeah. I'm against the favoritism even for fighters like Aldo, who I root for, getting a shot against Cejudo. Conor's is unbelievable though but if he keeps up his nicer attitude I could see myself supporting him if he gets level headed treatment by the UFC.
It's hard for me to judge that performance because Cerrone could have taken him down easily after that first big punch missed but didn't. Entire performance is meh becauese the "I wont take him down" thing. Conor could have been taken down and finished in the first minute. Cerrone gave Conor a gift. Props to Conor for his game plan based on no takedown though.
No I'm not mad. I'm excited to be honest. Fuck Conor and his antics. I respect the fighter though and want to see more of him. Side note it's not the same trying to hate him when hes not being a douche.
Conor fans have experienced such glory over the last few years I don't ever see such cases . just bitter haters venting their life frustrations .
See, you sound weird talking about experiencing glory. Conor experienced glory since he actually worked and fought for what he has. You're just a fan that is happy that a fighter you like won. Conor nuthuggers talk and act as if they're actually him.
Depends If he starts fighting real contenders like Gaethje, Masdival and Ferguson and wins then he deserves the credit and there is nothing to be mad at. It's annoying to see how pumped up his fans get to see him beat a completely shot Cowboy.
This. Also, I really appreciated Conor’s attitude for this fight and respect towards Cowboy. I always liked Conor as a fighter, but seriously disliked his personality. If he really has gotten his shit together, I could easily become a fan of both him as a fighter and a person. Really excited about a potential Masvidal bout
Conor has experienced glory. You have experience the feeling in your pants when watching another man. Not the same thing
