He was fed a sacrificial lamb but the way he chose to slaughter it is why people are interested in his next move. Non stop rapid aggression.

Conor is real mofo. He takes the biggest risk in the game and that's why he is the biggest star. I'm not taking other tools like charisma, attractive fighting style, thrash talk etc. He goes to Moscow to provocate rematch with Khabib, He is willing to fight Usman... Much bigger guy, great wrestler in his division!

Why don't Jon Jones as a goat go to fight against Stipe? Why don't Khabib fight Usman? Why don't Masvidal fight Jon Jones? This is real measure what Conor means to this sport! KING!

Yup, that's why he chose to fight a washed up cowboy who got finished in his last two fights instead of Justin, right?

Yep, the plan succeeded. Set up a fight against a notable they knew Conor had a real good chance against and author the hype for further promotion. Also lets them quash the "Hasn't won in 3 years" thing thats been looming over him. I don't like the complete lack of transparency they pull but the tactics are certainly working. And Conor did his part and did what he needed to in the cage.

The key word here is lamb. Lambs don't fight back when a predator takes hold. Cerrone didn't put up a fight at all.

    Conor Mcgregor 2.0 has arrived.

Just saw the fight. Man he looked real explosive. His power and strength has certainly increased. Still accurate and didnt look like he had any ring rust.

    Very impressed...

    It's about challenges!

When he was preparing against Aldo, on short notice he took fight against Mendes and he was injured at that time. That was risk. Remember when Jon Jones didn't take the fight against Sonnen on short notice. He was smart, didn't take risk and that's why he's the GOAT but not the biggest star like Conor.

Than he took a fight against RDA when that guy was destroying everybody in 155. Unfortunatelly that fight didn't happen because of RDA. Than he took fight against Nate in 170 after just after his fight in 145! That is risk and that's also thing why he lost because he wasn't adapted to that weight at all.

Than he took rematch against Nate imidiately and in 170 when everybody doubted him. He won and if he lost that fight than his career would have different path. But he won and reward was fight against Alvarez which he won. Champ champ is born!

Who dares to dream high without boundaries is unique and that's why fight against Mayweather happened. That was his creation!

After that box match after long lay off he went straight for Khabib which was at that time very active! Big risk and he come up short but still he took a risk which other fighters are not taking like that.

Now, this Cowboy fight was smart move but still that one UFC decided because he put that in their hands but next fight could be Khabib, Gaethje, Masvidal, Usman, Mayweather, Pacquiao. Whichever fight happens is really big challenge! And thing is that Gaethje is the weakest challenge from all these but for example if he fight against Masvidal lot of people who doesn't understand what challenge means will say that he is ducking Gaethje like they said that he was ducking Edgar to defend the belt when he took bigger chalenge and fought against Diaz or Alvarez. Than people were saying that he's ducking to defend 155 belt when he was fighting Mayweather. Conor take the risk, the biggest risks, talk the talk and walk the walk and that's why he's the biggest star in combat sport.

Khabib is not taking 170 fight against GSP even he can go to that division. GSP offered him catchweight! Jon Jones is not going to heavyweight. Adesanya could make move to 205 at some point but for example Anderson didn't go to fight Jones or other 185ers. Jose Aldo didn't go to take challenge in 155, Renan Barao didn't go to 145. Maybe Dillshaw went but we all see how that finished. Later in career Anderson went for Cormier in but not when he had a position as champ.

Cejudo made move and Cormier but these guys made their moves after Conor made path for all of them. After him everybody is thinking about superfights. And respect to them! But Long live the king!
