Frankie Edgar (was number 1 contender when Conor beat Aldo)
Jose Aldo (was matched up purely to take Frankie out of the title picture, yeah Conor beat him, but he won the interim FW belt and deserved the rematch, look at what Cain did to JDS in their rematches)
Khabib (was number 1 contender after beating Johnson)
Tony Ferguson (overtook Khabib as number 1 contender by actually showing up at 209 and later winning the interim title).

That's four number one contenders he has ducked.

I was never a fan of his antics but it was cool having a great fighter from Ireland, it's just embarrassing now.

McGoof is now McDuck, 100%

Two title fights tomorrow. Two title fights announced at press conference.

And yet only thing people keep talking about is Conor.

He earned a lot of money recently and now just don't care anymore

Right, why fight the champion when you could fight the #1 contender.

By the way, Mendes was officially ranked the #1 contender when they fought. This Frankie stuff is revisionist history.

Yeah Conor ducked Frankie to move up a weightclass to fight RDA, one of the LW GOATS after Aldo. Same goes for Aldo, after he starched him in 13 seconds. {<jordan}

Cant say he's ducking Khabib because thats who he wants to fight next.

He isnt defending against Ferg, the next fight he should be having, but then I guess you can call that ducking until the fight gets booked.

He had nothing to lose against RDA, Conor only fights when he has something to gain, he doesn't put everything on the line like real champions do every time they defend.

I miss the Conor fans.
I hope Conor fights again so they come back.

He'll go down as a fighter who never won a title defence. His career will always be "what if" and it will always be mentioned.

He made a lot of money from his last fight (boxing) but still ducked Edger, Aldo rematch, Khabib , and Tony, pre Mayweather. McDuck

Conor has never defended any of his belts, which is very lame. He ought to have been stripped after the Mayweather fight. However, this list is a mess.

1. He didn't duck Jose Aldo. He KOed him. By the time Aldo became the number one contender, McGregor had moved to a different division.
2. Khabib has never been first in line for a crack at McGregor. That's been Ferguson.
3. I'd have loved to see Edgar vs McGregor, and I suppose you could argue that he should have fought Edgar rather than Mendes, but Mendes was the number one contender at the time, not Edgar.

But yeah, McGregor has ducked the hell out of Ferguson. No doubt about that. In the whole brouhaha with McGregor, the only fighter who has really been screwed over is El Cucuy.
