That press conference was horrible. And Conor, without the fans, just comes across completely differently. And yes, I can see why Conor so wanted the fans. In either case, he still is able to get under your skin like no other, cuz nothing is off the table, whether it be family, country, or religion. He goes to where most people usually don't go. I mean, it works, I don't find it a respectable way but hey...it works. I think Khabib's visibly annoyed and lost the edge here. I also think he will get caught coming in for a TD.

EDIT: I actually am glad the fans weren't allowed in. I see how weird and ridiculous Conor is without his fans cheering. It's a dose of reality.

Khabib got frustrated for sure.

I think he was more frustrated at the reporters taking shit about his performance against Al. He was a bit bothered.

I agree. Colby could takes all the notes in the world and he'll never come close to this. I don't mind Conor's trash talking cos at least it seems researched. Antics aside, he actually takes time and come up w good shit that always rustle his opponent's feathers. Khabib def got upset a couple of time and even Ali tripping at the end shows that. At the end of the day none of that matters when the cage closes. Looking very fwd to this shit right here.

He’s just beginning to crack the skin a bit...

so your assessment is after Conor spent 25 minutes attacking Khabib's family, religion, government, country, calling him a coward, etc that its Khabib who is gotten to because he raised his voice once or twice? Conor is exposed and desperate here, he's not even being funny or witty anymore, he's sounding more like Colby than himself now with the edgy comments.

Conor gets under my skin just because I want to hear what Khabib has to say and Conor just keeps talking over him. I understand that it might give him an edge in this department...but it's really annoying when you want to hear the other fighter. I guess his fans love it, so it's a win-win for him.

Khabib was more gotten to by the Muslim guy congratulating Whiskey than anything Conor said.

Conor didn't get under his skin. That reporter did.

Lol what a nuthugger.

What I saw is a Conor being loud and obnoxious to cover up his insecurities. Khabib was no different than usual.

Let's be clear. He probably does some reading to find some history to talk about...but I'm not sure about "research". I mean the guy started speaking Spanish to win over the Brazilian crowd when Brazil's national language is Portuguese.

I agree. Khabib looked angry. I'm not sure it has a bearing on the fight though.

He 100% did when it came to the politics, his teammate, the Chechen/Dagestani shit, Kadyrov, Putin, father etc. You can tell Khabib was trying to overly explain and furious. No one has probably ever spoken like that to Khabib about those things to him in his life.

If you don't recognize the fact Khabib was gotten to at the mention of certain people and events, you are a fool. Then again Sherdog isn't exactly the most sharp community in the world when it comes to recognizing social cues.

Oh I am definitely not anyone's nuthugger. Neither Conor nor Khabib. But I definitely dislike Conor. I'm just calling it how I see it. And I saw Khabib annoyed and emotionally ticked.

Conor should wash Khabib with that whisky that would be only way to get under his skin but this drunk behavior just make Khabib better man and more concentrated on his weakness

I mean he should be bothered. He straight up couldn’t inflict is game plan on a rusty al who has only beaten ages chinny fighters...

Hmm. We didn't watch the same conference.

Khabib got so shook he had to pretend he didn't understand what Conor was saying.

Conor is an asshole. But his personality hits a certain frequency with the vast majority of the world. Definitely not me, though. I find the guy a disrespectable idiot, but it's clear Khabib got very frustrated, and it will effect the fight so this does matter when the cage closes.
