Talk all you guys want but Conor was hanging in there and defending well on the ground until the end. Everyone thought he was just getting subbed the second he got taken down and he made it a fight.

Never gonna stop being a fan. Dude is an exciting fighter and that’s what I love to watch.

Also, this isn’t a khabib hate thread. Khabib is a beast and unstoppable on the ground. It was a great fight and props to both guys.

Conor didn't even bother to try to fight off the neck crank. And during the second round when Khabib was ground n' pounding em looked like he was kinda hoping that the fight would get stopped.

Regardless, I was entertained tonight. Khabib is a beast. Conor is still a top lightweight.

Agree with everything. I started controlling the opposite wrist while punching on the ground the way he does.

This forum acts like if a fighter you’re a fan of loses, that you gotta disappear or won’t say anything. This is the fight game. Fight enough great fighters and you’ll get some losses. Never gonna stop backing Conor.

Conor seemed so sluggish out their on his feet compared to some other performances, I wonder now if he's done, that wasn't the Conor of old.

He didnt need to take this fight, he has all the money he wants, all the fans, the popularity, he did it because he loves to fight. Khabib style sucks ass for him, it was his biggest challenge in the UFC, I dont understand why people hate on the guy, he always brings good fights, is humble on defeat and victory, but some people are just so miserable they enjoy seeing successful people endure some fails, than just dealing with your own life and trying to be as successful youself.

I dont recall anyone saying he was gonna get subbed right away, or at least not most rational people. I give mad props to McConnor, but Khabib proved his grappling is on another level, not magic but definitely enough to take our soul.

Yep and he quit from a pain move that is unlikely to result in a break. Just makes it extra satisfying to a guy who jaws as much as McGregor

Not seen anyone neutralise him like that. Obviously it went wrong after, but that first round was good.
