Nate came in bigger, and taller, and his whole career he is used to fighting shorter guys. So fighting McGregor was nothing new for him. On the other hand McGregor is used to fighting either shorter guys, or same size guys whose striking are not at Nate's level. That threw him off.

You can say that Nate didn't get a full training camp. But McGregor didn't get a full training camp training against a taller lankier opponent. That means all of his shots were off. Conor was really going for those spinning head kicks and he was off by several inches, because those were meant for RDA. Next time, it will be for Nate Diaz.

The spinning head kicks never land - against anybody ...

They're all the same - Conor Mctap

I guess this doesn't apply anymore.

Weeks later and people are still entertaining new theories in their minds.

I watched the fight about 5 times now even posted a thread showing hes precision was off. Conor never landed (the majority) of those punches they hit air. So the reality is Nate was never hit that often in the face. I was not surprised how cut up he face was therefore.

If the majority of those punches landed it could have been worse for Nate. Conor hitting air was gassing him.

Nate didn't have time to train for any opponent, you see how this works?

I'm a huge fan of McGregor but this is a bullshit excuse. Gunnar Nelson is one of his prime sparring partners, so lack of training with taller guys should'nt be a problem.

Nate would have lost if he hadn't won.

Wait...

The Conor excuses just keep getting better and better. Who needs standup comedy when you've got knobslobberers on Sherdog?

Nate didn't have time to train.

It's a valid point but fair is fair.
