Conor can't answer Diaz: "Who do you train with?"

I always thought "Iron sharpens iron "(unless you are out because of injury).

Connor doesn't have any training partners because they can't fit in the same space as his ego.

I love how according to McGregor fans training partners suddenly mean nothing and are irrelevant, yet just a few hours ago they repeated and repeated the line about Nate's training partners being on steroids.

The hypocrisy.

Why do average people like you push this idea that you are a nobody because of who you grew up with, who you trained with, who you associate with... Just STFU!

Are you stupid? The implication is his technique seems unorthodox and off because it is- and instead of training with guys good enough to exploit the holes so he adjusts his fundamentals he's riding the dream that he's discovered some secret fighting potion. Maybe he's just so good it won't matter, we'll find out in the near future.

He trains with his own people. His belts and bank balance tells me it makes no fucking difference who you train with. Nate could train wth he best he would still be a very average fighter.
Nate spars with Andre Ward and you'll see how average Conor's boxing is compared to his

Gunnar Nelson, Makwan Amirkhani, Pendred, that hungry looking 125 pound guy who got destroyed in his hometown.

I dont see any "elite" training partners, but theyre damn good putting it lightly.

Haha and? Does his skills rub off on Nate? Sure looks that way with all the people he has ko'd and all that money and titles he's had. The out of shape average bum will be ko'd within two.

Quite frankly i think thats even more impressive... i mean, you have nobody to train with and still go out there and wrecks other guys?!

And im really not the biggest fan of conor to be saying this

I've got 13 ammy boxing matches on my record.

I'm not saying he isn't using the right words, but his movement/stance isn't textbook by any body's standard. He's relied a lot more on his talent than his honed skills to get where he is. You can make freaky stuff work if you're extremely talented(Roy Jones,) but it doesn't make what he's doing proper. And while he has heavy enough hands to hurt anyone he's faced so far, I don't think his talent level is enough to carry him against guys with a chin.

I admit this is speculation and we'll have to see how it all pans out, but not to long ago they were calling Ronda a world class striker while she was a terrible at it as well. She just so happened to be a better athlete than most women so her lack of standing skill didn't matter- till she met holm.

Well then I'm taken aback that someone with that experience cannot see the difference in skill level between Conor & Nates standup.

He hasn't won all his fights from a counter left, he's been the one pushing forward for the majority of his KOs.
His movement or stance isn't textbook to what? Boxing? It's MMA, there is no textbook stance.
Brandao, Poirier & Aldo had never been KOed until McGregor - you could infer their chins were pretty decent.

You can clearly, CLEARLY see the improving in his skill levels. Watch his fights from his Brimage straight through to Aldo. He comes out with a different look, throwing different techniques in every fight.

Really dumb thread TS. you're asking if he didn't win by the method he won, would he have won?Dismissing his movement training is also silly, it's clearly working for him, just because it's not something you normally see does not mean it's not effective in improving his ability or technique. Look at how often camps with "real training partners" get injured and pull out of fights...How often has he done that?

Maybe he should go somewhere where they have bigger names and egos so he can swing hammers at tires and get injured 1/3 camps?

His camp is fine bruh, better than fine, he's excelling.

just by simply training with well known people doesnt automatically make you better, you still have to put the hard work in..

conor won a FW title by training with "nobodies" .... diaz can train with all these big names but hes never won a title... so by his own logic, hes not saying anything at all

Who exactly is nate training with that's so great. Shields couldn't hack it in the ufc and was cut, gilbert has been dominated against all the top fighters. And nick, has never been a ufc champion and has fought 1x in 3 years or so..

I can't stand Conor but dude is a very good fighter.

Personally, I think the only good comebacks that Diaz had were:

When Conor was ranting on about how "he doesn't give a shit about belts" ... Nate quickly said "then why you carry it around everywhere?"

Second, when Diaz used Conor's own words against him, ie., the remark about only fighting midgets.

Third, Diaz said something like "put your hands down motherfucker, you aint going to do shit right now" and Conor did seem to shut up at that.

Fourth, when Diaz brought up that he wasn't in fight shape, and Conor said "don't use that excuse", Diaz asked "how many rounds of sparring have you had in the last 2 weeks?" And Conor was silent.

Other than that, I think Conor owned him, but also it seemed like Conor was trying to be more respectful than normal.

The results will say hes training with the right people if hes laying people out all the time.

Diaz is about to get a training camp March 5. Diaz will have 3 rounds to consiously learn.

Training partners DO make a difference. That being said, individual skill and attributes are still more valuable...your training partners don't fight in the cage with you. I'm sure those training partners will make a difference if the Diaz Bros. decide to repeat the Mayhem incident...but once that door closes on the two of them, the more skillful martial artist will win.

Let's be real. All those guys you mentioned are far more accomplished than any of Conor's partners.

Very much like Ronda, hype and a few tricks up the sleeve will go a long way, until it doesn't...like Ronda, Conner has momentum and hype ( a mental edge) as soon as someone comes along as sees things as they really are and doesn't buy into the hype on any level, Connor will be exposed...

exactly...theyre good fighters.. but that simply isnt enough... the individual at hand has to have the talent, drive and work ethic to make it to the elite level.. conor has that.. so its not completely necessary for him to train with so called "name" fighters

PADDY HOLOHAN !!!! The flyweight GOAT!

Guy looks like a fucking anorexic hobo-zombie from a bad Japanese live Action movie that used to be a substitute Social Studies teacher when he was amongst the living
