Conor before Jose fight: "The manner I beat him there will be no need for a rematch"

Yea, too bad he's not a pillow puncher like Cruz.
It's too bad Conor puts guys away with a punch or two.
It will be hard for him to meet your requirements unless he learns that Cruz-style wimpy punch technique.

lmao you make it sound like people die if they get touched by him. He has big power but he has one flatlline KO in the UFC.

It's not like it's out of the realm of possibility that Aldo can win a fight against a power puncher. He's the FW GOAT, he deserves a rematch

If he beat the shit out of him for an extended period of time, yeah. That's not what happened though.

Agreed! beat him from pillar to post I would fully agree what's the need for a rematch, but catch someone with a quick KO and we never get to see tools displayed in a fight f*king right I need a rematch.

Connor immediately after the fight : "It wasnt really a fight, its sad to see a champ go out like that, we can do it again"
Yeah but Rogan corrected Conor and told him "It was definitely a fight, it was just a fight that ended so quickly."

Same reason Nate did it...

Nate did it because he could make a shit load of money. Conor is the mega draw, so again, what's in it for him?

Aldo won't do or say anything to help promote the fight and Conor couldn't top his previous performance. It's just like how Hendo didn't want to rematch Bisping until Bisping had something to offer.

And then he did pretty much the exact opposite.

You don't need to beat the shit out of someone if you can push their shit in with just one punch.

What's an extended period of time though? 3 rounds? 5 rounds? Or beat him they way he clowned Alvarez? Or are we talking about a Franklin/Loiuseau beatdown?

Either way, how do you beat the shit out of someone, if that someone can't even take one punch? What do you think would've happened if the ref didn't step in?

Jose still hasn't recovered from that one punch. He can't even remember the fight.

"can't even take one punch"

What? He took a ferocious counter punch while lunging in, that's absolute worst case scenario. Are you saying it's out of the realm of possibility for Aldo to win that fight? Is that your position?

Actually, other than a questionable close decision, a quick KO is about the least convincing way if he wanted to erase any doubt as to who the better fighter is.

The way he beat Eddie was much more convincing. He beat Aldo the same way JDS beat Cain the first time.

Yeah but Rogan corrected Conor and told him "It was definitely a fight, it was just a fight that ended so quickly."
Again, ALDO said this. McGregor talked about precision and timing.

It was a 13 second flash knockout of a long term champion that's defended that belt for X number of years. To say Aldo didn't/doesn't deserve a rematch is asinine...

Only on this forum of imbeciles do fighters like Ronda and Conor have it held against them when they dispose of their opponents with the swiftest of ease.

"IT PROVES NOTHING!!!"

Srsly stfu.

Conor doesn't do rematches unless he loses..

You nailed it brah

Champions of 6 consecutive years always deserve rematches.

People act as if it was some type of Hail Mary punch from Conor. A fluke some might even say. Denial is a hell of a thing. Aldo got countered doing one his common combinations. He was telegraphed and got his lights put out. I rather see Conor fight Khabib or Ferguson anyways.
