I truly believe we'll see Aldo get lit up on the feet against Conor and I'm not a McGregor fan at all. His size and unorthodox style will be difficult to deal with. When it comes to striking, size makes a HUGE difference.
Also people don't realize how big McGregor is for 145:

^ and that's with shoes on.

Now with that said, Edgar has all the tools to beat Conor. There's no way he's gonna get away with any spinning kicks with Edgar. Aldo couldn't continue his signature leg kicks on Edgar after he got blitzed with takedowns. Edgar is arguably the fastest fighter at 145, combined with his top-tier wrestling, experience against heavier fighters at the elite level, and his unbreakable will, there's no way Conor wins that fight.

Agreed that Edgar is an interesting fight for Conor.

Not sold on the idea that he beats Aldo just yet.

People are assuming Aldo will just leg kick his way to victory, but the fact is he hasn't legitimately finished a fight in years and has been noticeably slowed down.

McGregor has outboxed everyone he's faced, combined with his kicking ability and size it'll be a difficult fight for Aldo to catch him. Wrestling is the remedy for Conors style and Aldo really lacks that skill.

If he beats both of them then god knows who will beat him. Don't see him beating both of them though

What exactly do you aldo did to edgar? You say that as if he embarrassed or even finished edgar. That was a pretty close 5 rounds

Possible, but I see Aldo beating McGregor. Just way too big of a step up for McGregor, he hasn't faced anyone near Aldo's caliber yet, too much too soon imo.

Wtf is this about shoes? They're at the same height in that picture, unless you're saying that Aldo has shoes on and Conor doesn't. The angles are weird in that picture anyhow. Aldo's shoulders are actually higher, but he looks thinner.

If you're just arguing that Conor has a larger build, then don't mention the shoes, it doesn't make any fucking sense.

Edit: Oh fuck, you're trying to compare the two photos with Joe as the reference to figure out who is taller? Lol, gtfo

Your photos were from different angles.

Conor is 5'9" 74" so what. Charles Olivera is 5'10" - 73", Aldo is 5'7".

Aldo beat Florian who is 5'10" and 74"...

so it's certainly within his capacity.

Hell, even Siver has spinning kick KO'd guys who were 5'9" before.

Frankie's game plan against Conor will be the same as Swanson, so Conor will be able to prepare properly.

I don't think Frankie's win is a given, though I would not bet on that fight.

    No...it wasn't :(

What has edgar ever done to anyone that would lead them to believe he should be favored vs mcgregor is what I want to know.

We don't know if wrestling is the answer to McGregor yet- maybe he has great TDD. I think Edgar/Mendes should fight and the winner of that face McGregor

Edgar beats him in a 5 round match where he goes 7 for 27 for takedowns and pitter patter punches him to a living death. Snores ensue. But Edgar fans go on likes its the greatest victory of all time. Yawn already.

mcgoober would have to land the luckiest haymaker of all time to beat edgar (and mendes). he does indeed have a better change against aldo, although he is not the favorite
