Conor’s 155 Power/Dustin’s Chin

Obviously Conor is powerful, but at 155 and above have we seen real evidence of it being one punch KO power?

I’m thinking about this cause there seems to be a lot of talk of Dustin getting caught early and put out like he was last time. When you look at it though Conor hasn’t slept anybody with one shot above 145.

Cowboy was shot and couldn’t really have managed a worse performance if he had tried so we’ll put that to one side. (Even then it wasn’t as such a one punch KO)

Nate took his power in both fights (ok it’s Nate so hard to tell but Masvidal definetly hurt him worse)

Khabib took a few shots telegraphed and it didn’t rock him (Conor was shot after the round 1 tho)

Even Eddie got knocked down and got back up several times before the stoppage (Another monster chin)

Dustin has a good chin at 155, he’s taken huge shots off the divisions biggest hitters and won.

Are we generally overestimating how dire it will be for him if he does take shots early? Is it possible Conor by TKO rnds 1/2 (still my pick) is overpriced?

Pretty sure Eddie was out on his feet after one good shot, he had a chin though and still got knocked out.

He finished Cerrone before he could land a KO punch.

The only guy he fought that he didn’t KO was Khabib and it’s not like he landed a crisp clean shot on him

Also he knocked out lightweights with one shot before he was even in the UFC

Conor was never a 1 punch ko guy, other than Aldo and Buchinger he hasn't KOED anyone since his joining cage warriors, as Stepehns said "he TKOS people" Dustin can be TKOed but he wont be stiff.

@Heart Break Kid he didn’t fight them at lightweight though and still put a beating on them. He was injured in the Max fight and hurt Nate several times, Nate has an iron chin.

Not Eddie took a good 2 rounds and 5 knockdowns before he was out. Had to war him down a good bit. Even with Cowboy he had him hurt before landing the left.

He definitely has enough power to finish most at 155 but, by sheer lack of him fighting, it's hard to properly gauge it.

he landed clean, khabib didn't give two shit.

Conor is pillow fisted compared to Abdulmanap, being the only individual to smash Khabib.

You have a gif of the punch? I just remember it being a short not fully committed shot.

Plus he never countered Khabib. He showed great defense in that fight

There’s definitely a general fear that the fight will be easy and over quick that possibility doesn’t stack up.

To frame it another way you could ask whether Conor can get Dustin out of there before he starts to gas...

@BtSports that makes no sense, he’s literally knocking guys out and dropping them from his hands. Obviously that left hand is special if it got him to where he is.
