Connor Mcgregor has been a brown belt bjj for 6 years.

let dustin cheat as much as conor did, and you have a different fight ...

conor would ve been submitted in the second round by kimura, never forget the 19 cheating attempts when you talk about conor's poor performance.

Dustin at least rocked the dude, almost subbed him and never had to cheat once.

If Conor was submitted in round 2... he still would've done better than Poirier on the ground

That doesnt mean shit, he is still pretty decent. Black belts some times dont mean shit: Junior dos Santos is black belt for example

Don’t forget Vitor!

First sub attempt I remember clearly was his crack at Jones.

He had to dust that black belt off for that one.

And Jon Jones is a white belt in bjj. Belts don't mean shit

you really just quoted rogan word for word?

you're secretly a conor hater aren't you lmao, your posts are just designed to piss people off and get more hate on conor.

It's a total troll account for sure. False flag!

Maybe he doesn't train gi all that much anymore.

Rashad Evans and JDS are black belts lol. They were just gifted black belts, most of the UFC fighters are good in no-gi but there's no thing as no gi black belts

BJJ guys are known for trying to brand wrestlers with fake BJJ black belts.

Yep
Belts are just a sign of dedication, experience and knowledge in the art.
A black belt just means the person that has it is better than he/she was before they had it.

It's a sign of personal improvement not a scale or rank on a global stage.

Of course, a person that dedicates years to an art to achieve a black belt should be good at the art, but not all black belts are equal in the practical application of skill.

Belts are not a magical garment that as soon as you have one you can beat each and every person with a lesser belt.

It's no different to any other sport. Each and every one of us could train for 20 years in football and a 16-year-old Messi wipes the floor with us.

Some ppl just have talent in applying arts or techniques in a practical way, better than others.

Yeah and jds would sub conor in a flash not taking into mind he would ko conor with a pawing jab.

And Jon Jones is a white belt in bjj. Belts don't mean shit

no.gif

and jones is still technically a.. what was it like white or blue or some shit? plus theres plenty of " black belts " who aren't shit on the ground.

conor did better than poirier on the ground (outside of one guillotine attempt), better than a bunch of people khabib has faced and did 40 x better than gaethje.

yeah conor doesn't have the best BJJ, but it's not terrible it's just a little above average or just average for a pure striker.

I wouldn't even go that far

His jiu jitsu is very good.

People who think it's bad don't know they're watching.

or he was until recently. Point still stands

It's been over three years but that's fine. "Belts don't mean shit" is a silly generalization. They can definitely mean something if they are gained legitimately. There are also people who are still white belts but hold their own in MMA. That doesn't imply belts are meaningless though. The issue mainly lies with the illegitimate belts handed out like candy.

He got the brown belt by KOing Poirier. For comparison, Woodley got his black belt for submitting a semi-unconscious Till.

couldn't tell, he got manhandled by a guy who isn't even a d1 wrestler, more like a white belt lmao

Well, He has managed to make a few hundred million dollars. Not all is lost.
