First of all , the dude has good sides and bad sides, like everyone. But my shit alarm completely went off when he said he wasn't efficient with his energy. he's somewhat humble but he's also making excuses.

First of all eating punches takes alot of energy especially get stockton slapped. Diaz was trying to punching his body as much as possible. He didn't do anything to defend against those punches. and you don't just gass in the opening of the 2nd round just when you had a rest - he got tagged.

He got tagged because he turned his head away from the punch ( sidways ) and exposing his chin to the max. This is not only a technical error but also shows a complete lack of experience. He got rocked and grapplefucked.

Having no energy is not a excuse for having no technique to defend yourself on the ground. He got subbed like he's some white belt. Connor has good jabs , straight punches and spinning shit, but regarding striking his technical defense is garbage. He's open all the time even during when he's getting punched.

So when connor beats mendez(who gassed completely ) it's purely connor winning but when connor loses he just gassed ? lol , he had 2 months fight camp and lost from a guy who had barely 2 weeks to prepare.

Any wrestler , even mediocre wrestlers, anyone with good ground game or one punch knockout power kan sub or KTFO mcgreggor.

Its Diaz bra... he is tricky on the ground. Dude subbed Junior Assuncao and Jim Miller

He didn't deny getting tired. He explained why: he wasted energy by not being precise. Call it an excuse. I call it an answer to the question of "what happened (paraphrased)."

You got pissed off by him stating a fact?

He winged many punches that missed. That is the definition of wasted energy.

I made this gif the day the Diaz fight was announced!!

War Diaz

You are accurate: Conor got tagged, and he lost that fight on the feet in the 2nd round.

This doesn't mean he has "bad technique". In MMA, there are several fighters who are extremely good strikers and don't defend in a traditional way. Anderson Silva is the biggest example, broke records and all that, defending quite poorly you could say. But if he brings people in to counter, that's not such a bad "technique" is it?

Why is it that when Conor adopts that stance, accepts some punishment to deliver his own, that he believes is more powerful and better timed, suddenly he has poor technique?

I saw no poor technique from Conor standing up. I saw him get tagged and go for a desperate take down. On the ground, yes: he could have better technique there.

But on his stand-up: perfect. Getting caught is a risk he takes.

Of course getting punched in the face and rocked hard has nothing to do with it. he was smiling in the corner not out of breath, when the 2nd round began he got tagged and suddenly gassed the fuck out.

REPRESENT DAWG!!!!

I will go back at some point and count exactly how many precision shots, Conor's elite striking hit nothing but air.

A lot of huggers are hating on the 209 out pouring hypocritically!! Oddly they do not remember the 87613561 threads they hijacked and pissed in!!

Conor didn't make any excuses, he merely explained what he did wrong.

His haters have plenty of ammo right now, so there's no need to make shit up.

I completely disagree with you. If anything I have gained a ton of respect for Conner for totally breaking down why he thought he lost down to the punch that caught him and admitting he lost energy and was broken by Diaz. He recognized he had holes in his game and plans on doing his best to fix them. I don't think you could ask for any more honesty out of a fighter.

Yeah, he got his ass kicked by a natural LW.

It's pathetic, the ufc was making excuses for him. Fuck out of here with that weight excuse and rogan can get the fuck right off with that Conor lost because he was missing jiu jitsu technique. Conor lost on the feet by a 155 lb fighter who was on a week notice. Very embarrassing for Conor, no way to sugarcoat it.

he was putting everything he had into those left punches. The knee to the body Connie ate also landed hard. He crumbled just as his 145 Lil guys do...his words

It was stealth excuse making (or passive aggressive excuse making) He was just trying to be sneaky about it. It was obvious to me also

He kept going on about losing to the bigger fighter and is angling that the 2 division weight jump was what cost him. Diaz is a lw and Conor should be too. Reality is, Conor got embarrassed by an out of shape skinny fat man. He is very lucky not to have been completely humiliated.

Silva got completely exposed, i don't think we need to discuss that. the greatest fighter all time losing due this his own clowning ?

has nothing to do with traditional , it has to do with putting some flesh and bone between his fist and your head so you don't get KTFO. has everything to with fighting smart and minimizing damage. Turning you head sideways and exposing your chin will FUCK you up bad when getting punched, he saw the punch coming and turned his head away exposing his chin - it's called not wanting to get hit and getting tagged hard. he should have kept his chin on his chest , head forward and duck or step out.

Guy who take the same amount of punches to dish out harder never have a long career , GSP fought very smart most of his career. Connor didn't KTFO diaz , diaz rocked connor and subbed him. You talking like connor hits harder than diaz.

on the ground better technique ? he had no technique or game to begin with , he just exposed his back like a seal rolling. its the worst mistake you can make.

His stand up isnt perfect , he got hit - just imagine a hector lombard like guy or lawler - those guys hit way harder than nate diaz. Go back to the 2nd round and check where he got punched in the start - how he turned his head away from the punch exposing his chin. rewatch

No shame in losing to a LW. He was fighting at FW prior and tried moving up. Like I said before the fight...there is a world of difference between fighting FWs and LWs. I picked Diaz to win because he can hold his own on his feet, has a great chin, great subs, and has fought much tougher guys than Conor.

Until you get to MW weight classes are a huge deal. Some guy on here actually tried to argue with me when I told him Pettis beats Aldo 8 to 9 times out of 10. Weight classes are around to protect the smaller guys from the bigger guys.
