I thought she was a BB already, but congratulations Roxy, getting a BB in BJJ is always a magnificent achievement.

IIRC, she used to train with Josh Barnett. Her grappling was always great, but maybe she wasn't training all along in an actual BJJ environnement.

Even though it doesn't involve pregnancy or marriage congratulations is still in order
for Flyweight Roxanne Modafferi since she did get her black belt (BJJ) this morning
from Evan Dunham out in Las Vegas.

Happy Warrior is one of few persons i just respect without question. Congratulations. Her sheer grit and will to win is awe inspiring.

Glad to see she came back to Sherdog. I had looked at her profile just before her fight with Barber, and the last time she had logged in was 2018. Been a fan of Roxy since the time I saw her fight at a HOOKnSHOOT event I attended way back in 2004.

HOOKnSHOOT was awesome btw. Attended a ton of their events, most of them took place in the city I grew up in, and got to see a bunch of big names come through early in their careers.

This gem was even more spectacular in person.
