Confidence is someone like Khabib with a 29-0 record fighting the best.

Arrogance is Khamzat calling out everyone at the top over 155 lbs. after beating literally no one of importance.

    Arrogance looks like Kevin Lee
    Confidence looks like GSP
Khamzat is confident but also arrogant.
He believes he is the best and is willing to prove it.
    Im ok with that.

It's a 'fine line' thing and an 'eye of the beholder' thing.

I'd say it's a bit of both. He's never faced adversity in his MMA career (pro OR amature) so he probably feels invincible. I mean the dude has finished every single one of his fights, pro and amature, and has never lost even a single round. He was even undefeated during his time wrestling. The dude has never even seen the third round. Probably doesn't know what it is, or thinks it's a myth. So yeah, having never lost at anything, and having dominated literally everything, the dude is gonna be extremely confident with maybe even a little arrogance.

1 has 0 top 30 wins whilst the other was clearly being hyperbolic and has multiple world titles.

He believes in himself. Why this bothers anyone is beyond me, he will either get exposed or prove himself right.

Guess what the one with the 0 top 30 wins is the better fighter of the two while the other was an artificial fighter who got feed weaker opponents like Siver to climb. I don't even rate him as a fighter but something else

    Thank you for your post..

I always ask ..."is he exaggerating about his own ability?" ....to determine this fine line.

It is that simple question. That way I remove my personal biases out the window.

I feel like Khazmat is more confidence, while someone like Jones is more arrogance.

    My interpretation is

Confidence is a healthy belief in yourself and particularly your abilities when it comes to sport.

Arrogance is thinking you're better than everyone else whether there's merit to it or not. Of course the worst case is if there's nothing to it.

One is heathy. The other is not.

Both can apply to Khamzat. He isn't proven. Yet he doesn't believe he's better than DC, for example. A stretch of an example, but that's the only one I've seen.
