Conditioning/Running Between strting strngth

I'm resetting my schedule to align it with starting strength. I've clearly tried to do "too much" when I first started flirting with it. On Witchita Falls schedule rest days, so Tuesday and Thursday and then the weekend....

Is it still ok to do conditioning (heavy bag, running etc) or would that be counter intuitive to the plan.
 
Light conditioning work should be fine. Start off with shorter, lower intensity conditioning, either MWF, but several hours after lifting, or TRS. Heavy bag work might be too intense, at least initially. Running, swimming, cycling would all be good options.
