Going into the Condit vs Diaz fight there were high hopes for a war but instead Condit utilized an elusive strategy to outpoint Diaz. Now with Lawler vs Condit many are expecting a war but what are the chances Carlos does to Lawler what he did to Diaz?

very high chance that Condit will run away from Lawler just like he did against Diaz.

they don't call Condit the Natural Born Runner for nothing.

That would make my eyes rain.

Lawler's style of pressure is dramatically different than Diaz's. Diaz was fine with Condit running, Lawler simply won't put up with that shit.

Seems to me, it'd be counter-intuitive. Pressuring Robbie is the key for Condit here.

Letting Robbie get comfortable moving forward is like dousing yourself in gasoline and then handing him the matches.

Lawler isn't a freaking slow ass robot.

He'll force Condit to engage. (assuming you think Carlos will "run")

Diaz was at fault in the fight more than Condit. His entire gameplan was move forward, get Condit against the cage and hit him with body shots. Every time he tried, Condit would circle out and go back to the middle.

If Diaz tried cutting off the cage, takedowns or anything other than moving straight forward, it would have been a much more exciting fight. Can't fault Condit for not playing into Diaz's game. Lawler is not that kind of fighter. He'll stalk him down and cut off the cage to catch him if needed.

Pretty sure Lawler knows how to cut a corner, and move in more than one direction.

Also: LET IT GO!

Condit has fought Hendricks, Kampman, Woodley, and Alves since the Diaz fight. All being strikers and/or being heavy handed and he ran away from none of them and actually took the fight to them.

Some fans need to let that Diaz fight go. Besides, Lawler's footwork, speed, and variety isn't something easily neutralized like Nick's aresnal.

Carlos will never fight like that again. The man was fighting for the interim title and literally cried when he heard he was getting a title shot, the man wanted to win at any cost. It was 1 fight. Let it go.

This fight will be an absolute war! Win or lose, Condit won't be point fighting.
