Ok then dont get lost on your way out.

you gonna get flamed, but I agree with you. Last night's Bellator was better than any recent UFC I can remember.

Just saying, glad there is a worldcup this summer. :icon_twis

Watching Severn vs Shamrock 2 fifteen times in the same day would be more exciting than watching a football (aka soccer) match imo. lol I can do without the 1-0 or 0-0 games thanks. :)

I agree, fox's production sucks. But as long as I can watch fights for free I'm good with it.

Im not going to lie, my interest has definitely dropped since all that has happened, but I dont think ill ever stop watching completely but I've never missed a PPV, i have skipped a few fight nights.

its all good, gives me more time to do other things I need to do. work, training etc etc.

P.S I hate the fox deal. they have this plain old same opening theme song at the start and i just preferred the warrior music before, it made UFC feel like this was not like any other show on TV.

wmma is a joke

also, the problem with UFC is that fighters have reached the top promotion and fight safe to keep their contracts

in smaller promotions they are trying to make it to the major leagues so they take risks

UFC needs more finishes / fun fights

money has ruined the sport (or shall i call it business just like chael?)

When something a promoter says leads you to lose interest in a sport, you probably were never that interested to begin with. If the fights are good and the matchmaking is good 85% of the time, who the hell cares what Dana says.

MMA is the sport. UFC is the business.

yup losing intrest in ufc as well..mainly because of bald dana with his weird logic

You just took out 1 point. Put them all in a bag and see how much it weighs.

I agree

Never used to miss an event, but now there are soo many events and their cards are so spread thin that I dont even bother watching 80% of the events.

But why does it matter? I get that you find the fights dull or think the divisions have dried up...but why the fuck would a promoter saying something which has no impact on the fights themselves have any effect on your enjoyment of MMA in the promotion?

Also your point about WMMA. There's been like 9 announced fights this year. How is that pushing anybody away?

...Fox took over.

...women's MMA has been introduced. Yeah nice, all the hype, attract female fans and mainstream fans, they have an attention span of 9 months? Hardcore fans are being pushed away and the focus has been completely on mainstream. Seems the UFC is losing both now.

...the events I don't forget are getting so bad that instead of fastforwarding a few irrelevant fights, I just skip the entire event.

...the the activity level at sherdog is close to 0. Those topics that are hot are ridiculous (such as Ronda vs Mayweather).

...the last Bellator/Glory events have been more interesting than the past ... UFC events.

...Dana said Ronda Rousey is the biggest star in UFC.

...the heavyweight division completely dried up.

... and so on, and so on.

for different reasons,i'm pretty much the same, although its not just since fox took over,i'm roughly 4 years into a no interest/semi interest run.

LOL @ you losers flaming people who point out obvious issues with the sport. I swear, sometimes I think Zuffa employs a few nerds just to browse sherdog and post in their defense.

It changes things in that manner that he cares more about commercialising the sport than making good fights. The entire face of the UFC has changed since Fox and WMMA got introduced. And in all honesty, if you can lose hardcore fans you can probably also lose those mainstream fans (you won for a few events)?

Dana saying stupid stuff was funny at first but now it's hard to take him serious anymore. He's still the face and the President of the UFC.

you are right

just market rules at the end of the day

anyway, i agree that hardcore fans don

Comercialising the sport? You mean like soccer/football, NFL, NHL, NBA, WNBA, boxing etc.

I don't see how this has changed any of the fights. WMMA is still growing and building talent; men's has been built over 20 years. There's been like 9 announced fights this year. The Women's Bantamweight Champion has finished 100% of her fights...some are boring as hell...some look terrible. But so do some male fights.

How has the introduction of WMMA had any effect on the men's divisions? If you don't like WMMA, fine. But there's one weightclass, and usually those fights are reserved for prelims.
