Let me say, Mike Goldberg has a tough job. But for the past three years he has been the best play-by-play announcer in Mixed Martial Arts. He improved his craft significantly since he started out. He calls UFC events that regularly last 5-6 hours, double what most announcers must call. If the UFC plans to replace him with Jim Rome...that would be a bad decision. Jim Rome is unlistenable, I seriously rather have Dana White and Joe Rogan calling the fights.

I guess we can't make polls on here anymore, but some of the names flying around are: Jim Ross, Mauro Ranallo, Jon Anik, and Jim Rome. Who do you think SHOULD replace Goldberg?

My vote is for Drunken Don Frye.

(also known as 'Don Frye')

I still don't understand why he's being replaced

Jon Anik is a pc robot who overuses the term "great class shown by both men", the ufc should find someone with personality and passion for the sport, I doubt Jim Rome is the guy

Im going with mike goldberg as the replacement. Best option at hand

Max Kellerman

aka

Ariel Helwani with balls

I'd keep Goldie

Don't get this move or see who's replacing him that people will like better..

No replacement. Let Joe Rogan talk to himself. Fuck the UFC for letting Goldberg go. Worst move they have ever made.

I honestly thought and hoped it was The Fight Professor. Quadros is the man.

But I keep hearing Jim Rome.

And Dana did not even have anything nice to say about him during the media scrum today. He just passed the question off immediately. Goldberg has been there 20 years and he doesn't even have anything nice to say. What a piece of shit.

The more I try to defend Dana, the less he seems to care about anything. Sad
