I'm more curious about the flyweight roster now since they cut a bunch of their top guys and then brought some back. Also I would have thought sterling would be above Marlon since Marlon just lost and Aljo extended his win streak to 4 (albeit against Pedro)

The rankings haven't been updated since before the Cejudo vs Moraes fight, but Aljo is probably next at 135.

Thomas Almeida hasn't fought since he got KO'd by Rob Font Jan 2018. 20 months of inactivity (nothing scheduled that I could find either) should knock you out of the rankings, probably.

Edit: Dodson ranked #13 and Dodson unranked. Hmmmm

Just found out he had a fight coming up but had to pull out, so he is definitely not cut. I thought he was on a 3 fight losing streak but its only 2.

Cruz hasn't fought in two and a half years and is ranked above the last person to beat him.

Probably because Moraes knocked him out.

    Wrote him down twice, fixed.

I agree, but that is what current rankings are. Same with Dom, he has been out for nearly 3 years.

That shit is stupid as hell lol. But the real reasoning is when Dominick Cruz does come back he's either getting a title shot, top 3 or a real big name. So in all honesty the ranking wouldn't even matter if he was off all together.

Henry Cejudo seems like he's so bored without a fight to prepare for. Calling out Nunes and Shevchenko, lol.

Now that he's reached the top, I don't think he knows what to do with himself. And the 135 #1 contender picture is a fucking mess.

Sterling is still not ready for a title shot IMO. He lost badly to Moraes, and also lost to Assuncao earlier. How Sterling is ranked above Assuncao is beyond me. But Assuncao shouldn't get a title shot either ... it never looks good when someone gets a title fight coming off a loss. I think Assuncao vs Sterling rematch needs to happen, with the winner fighting Cejudo next.

I had thought we'd get Cejudo vs Dillashaw rematch in the new year, but USADA suspended Dillashaw for 2 years. Apparently a 1st anti-doping violation for EPO is worse than multiple 2nd, 3rd, and 4th anti-doping violations for Turinabol in the eyes of USADA. I'm absolutely sure that Lance Armstrong's case had an impact on Dillashaw's suspension length.
