Royce got famous beating up guys with one boxing glove who didn't know what jiu jitsu even is. Ronda's knocking out women who've been training striking longer than she has. She's just an all around phenom. Royce just got in there before his opponents had a working understanding of ground fighting.

Bethe Correia got into MMA training 4 years ago with zero background in any combat sport to lose weight. In what universe has she being training striking longer than Ronda?

There are no phenoms in MMA. The "once in a generation MMA GOAT athlete" Jon Jones is not even NFL-reject level. The entire sport is a joke, the men's side is simply a joke that's been running for a longer period of time. Look through the athletic careers of the current UFC champions, and you'll see a bunch of wholly unaccomplished subpar athletes. Sure Rousey is one of the most accomplished out of the bunch, but she's like the fastest Asian - still slow as F.

If Royce wasn't allowed his gi he would have no UFC accolades.

Royce had to develop something on his own (its a family thing) and looked amazing at the time.

Ronda simply had the opportunity to reap everything others have done, yet she's still looking terrible when she strikes.

The biggest difference between honda and royce is that royce fought guys who outweighed him....honda won't even gain 5lbs to fight cyborg at a catchweight

Plenty of Royce's opponents had grappling experience. He fought Ken Shamrock in UFC 1 and Remco Pardoel at UFC 2 for crying out loud, not to mention both being way bigger guys.

i think they are referring to the depth of her division being about the same as early ufc days. There is just a huge lack of skill and experience at WBW.

Bethe Correia has 2 years of bjj training over Art Jimmerson. That's it.

We're talking about fighting; nobody's talking about athleticism. It doesn't matter if your awesome other athletes are more physically gifted; they'd still get their asses kicked by any competent mixed martial artist in a fight.

Royce fought fighters that were heavier then him and didnt give a fuck.

No he got famous for beating guys MUCH bigger than him. Ronda wants nothing to do with a slightly bigger cyborg.

She's more like Pride era Fedor.

The Last Empress.

Royce grew up with BJJ, Ronda grew up with Judo. Really how long do you think any female fighter has been been training grappling? She certainly hasn't fought any bjj blackbelts has she? No because for any fighter who doesnt have that grappiling pedigreee already established they still have to train striking and wrestling along with their grappling.

If you think the entire sport is a joke then why are you here?

The thing is, Royce fought bigger guys who could hurt him. He also fought in a time where there were limited rules or testing. Where as Ronda fought opponents who are unable to do any damage to her. Although.. the UFC and Gracie family did hand pick opponents that could fight in the UFC.

Fact is some of the guys Royce fought in the early days of the UFC would have ass raped 99.9999 percent of men on the street. They just weren't familiar with the ground game

Many of them could have knocked Royce out, it's a credit to Royce that he didn't get caught much

It will take 5 to 7 years for a generation of truly proficient women MMA fighters comes through
