Compare Fedor/Crocop hype to Khabib/Conor Hype

There's probably many a title fight in lower weight classes that could receive that recognition, but Fedor/Cro Cop is definitely one of the most skilled fights in the history of the HW division.

In absolutely no way is CC v Fedor the biggest fight in MMA history. Not by skill. Not by viewership. Not by $. By every conceivable metric there have been about a dozen fights “bigger” than CC v Fedor.

Fedor is the greatest Heavyweight ever but if he could hype a fight, Pride, Affliction, Strikeforce etc would not have gone out of business.

Creating hype is just not in Fedor's skillset.

You could have an argument for most skilled, but it was definitely not the most viewed nor lucrative fight ever. Conor/Khabib will easily surpass it on those two categories.

If that’s the standard then Bob Sapp vs Akebono is the greatest fight of all time.

The overall hype behind Fedor CC was much bigger.

Cro Cop had KO'd Fedor's brother, TKO'd his training partner, as well as pretty much tearing up everyone they put in front of him.

I was on pins and needles for Fedor CC.

Probably won't watch Khabib Conor.

It's hard to say how much casual draw Mc will bring in as he lost his last fight. In the casual eye, most fighters are only as good as their last fight.

Conor Khabib will probably sell more, so in terms of money it will be bigger.

In terms of quality, CC Fedor is bigger.

Conor Khabib just isn't as big to me.

Khabib has an awesome numerical record: 26-0.

Who are the stand outs in that list? RDA is a good win. MJ has been losing a lot. It's surprising he hasn't been cut. Edson is a good win. Other than that, the wins are somewhere between okay and good.

Connie had a great win against Aldo. He lost to Nasty Nate. I scored the rematch a Draw and he beat Alvarez, who is also somewhere between okay and good.

It's a match made on hype rather than substance, whereas Fedor CC was made on substance and hype.

Except fedor crocop are heavyweights so. you were probably watching a fight between 2 of the most dangerous men in the entire world compared to 2 150 pound men. It's a different vibe.

Conor had more people pay to see him in 1 fight then have paid to see Fedor in a lifetime.
