Comcast-Disney-and-Fox-Deal-With-Money-Bags.jpg

It seems that a bidding war maybe shaping up over Fox assets according to parties involved. Disney been behind the scenes reworking their deal to sweeten it with more cash and additional stock. According to people who are connected to the deal said that Disney will offer more in stock then all cash but will add additional cash to the deal.

It looks like Disney will go higher in value in terms of total but still will lack the deal with all cash. Here is the thing to apparently Comcast is not a sure thing ether because Disney had already begun the talks with Fox and that if Fox where to walk from their talks with Disney it could end up costing them billions. Comcast could just be muddying up the waters to make Disney put up more to make the deal happen.

Unless Disney was seriously low balling Fox for the properties and Fox was willing to entertain a low ball bid I cannot see how Comcast can compete with Disney for these properties. The properties just have way more synergies and potential upside revenue generation within the Disney brand then they do the Comcast and how much ADDITIONAL you can MAKE from an acquisition is as important as how much it is currently making at the time of acquisition.

Disney is winning this bid unless they decide for some strange reason they do not want these properties.

Disney puts out a pretty liberal slanted product, would be interesting to see what they did with Fox News

Based on everything I’ve read, Sherdoggers who seem to know what they’re talking about, the only way Disney loses this is if they choose to lose.

It’s not a story.

Comcast has their internet properties and vast cable TV operations and are looking to expand in the streaming media space so the huge 20th Century Fox media library would be huge for them. Three of the 10 biggest movies of all times plus the franchise connection with Avatar and future projects under that banner could be a big revenue producer. Disney problems is Government regulators already with a number of big acquisitions it could make this deal complicated. Of course it would be a pretty big blow to any Marvel tie in but that is relatively small compared to other much bigger parts that this brings to the deal.

If Disney gets the rights, I can't wait for the family friendly XMEN comedy.

So Comcast has put in a bid at $65 billion, even higher than what was anticipated which was around $60 billion.

It will be interesting to see what Disney does.

CNN quote:
Brian Roberts never gives up. We have worked on a lot of deals together and he just out-hustles everyone. He's a very persistent guy"

Meaning he will raise his bid if necessary. Both have big personal issues with owning huge properties already getting approval will not be easy. It's amazing how much cash they are putting up for this deal.

Brian Roberts is the Comcast guy.

Fox owns M*A*S*H*. Disney buys Fox. Klinger could be Disney's first transgender Princess.
