Time to catch up on some reviews, so here goes....

I bought these Thai pads for the simple fact that i was looking for a very light thai pad. Whenever class is over at my training center and i am just hanging around , people always ask me to do some pad drills , and the KO fight gear ones i have are just to heavy for me to hold 10-15 rounds in a row lol.

First impression on these
1.They are very very very light almost like a punch mitt

2. They are built well but on the strapping they seemed to
have used a thin belt latching system, i dont know how
well this will hold up under everyday beatings but we will
see.
3. They already have that broken in feel when you kick them
wich is cool for people that dont like rock hard pads

I will updat this thread in a few weeks or so to see how they are doing

Thanks for the review, I've been looking into these for a while now. Too bad they don't use the over and back strap method with the metal loop. They look nice and light is a good thing, keep us updated an how they wear in.

i have used them the last two nights and i love them THEY ARE SO LIGHT!!!! but i just hope they last

Um, I've heard they won't last one more session for you please send them to me and I'll dispose of them properly :)

I have the normal CSI thai pads with the velcro system and they've been holding up fine. I've used them religiously for about 4 or 5 month and up to 4 or 5 hours a day. No problems whats so ever with it.

just and update , they are holding up fine, but where the air domes are might cause excessive wear in the future but i still love them cause they are LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT !!

Great review GalltiK, I think I'm going to pick a pair of these up when I'm in Kansas City in June. Hopefully you can go in a purchase stuff from CSI.

These are onsale right now through combat sports for nearly half price! Might have to pick some up at that price

picked up a pair cause of the sale price....they are crazy light, so far they are holding up well.

I just used these for the first time last week and I liked them. They are extremely light, without affecting the impact-absorbing properties.

I agree, the only complaint I have is that they don't have the loop-through straps.

So how exactly does the "air pocket" thing work?...

From what I've seen on the site and in the Ringside/CSI catalog, it's like...a solid foam thing with these "dimples" cut out...is the leather directly on top of the dimples?...b/c I can imagine those wearing out quick fast...

I can tell you that these pads are about a 3rd of the weight of normal Thai pads. I compared them to the Fairtex thai pads. They are alot thicker than the fairtex pads, but weigh about 2.25 lbs per pair, versus 6 lbs per pair. The quality doesn't look/feel as good as the fairtex, BUT it still seems like they are fairly well made. Like stated earlier, a true hook & loop would be nice.

The CSI Air Thai Pads are awesome. Like Round1 mentioned, they are very light. It was ackward for a couple of minutes due to the weight. After using them for a session, I hate going back to the old pads.

Sounds like they are worth the sale price. I have been wanting to try a pair too. Thanks for everyone who gave their input.

How long have you guys been training with them?

Because from the trainers I've heard who've used them, they're complete crap, no durability, to be brutally honest :icon_conf.

at my old gym, there was a big pile of the ringside air filled focus mits that wore out.

I love these pads. I just ordered 2 more pairs for the gym. They absorb impact well and you don't get tired using them. Allows your energy to stay up.
I just hope they last!!!!
