TUF 16 winner vs TUF Smashes winner

i think Rob would KO Colton, what do you guys think?

Whittaker still abit green, colton would wrestlefuck him... id like to see whittaker vs sadollah

Hmm, not sure how Rob would handle a quality wrestler.

I like to Whittaker Sodallah idea.

Give him a stand up fighter for his first UFC fight.

Its funny how people think just because a guy who is an average wrestler can beat a mediocre fighter by smothering them that they can do it to everyone, the days are gone where a bit of wrestling can get you by at this level.

the safe bet is always the wrestler, even more so against the non-american.

Yeah, Rob didn't look great on the ground when Brad tripped him, would be a test of his TDD at least. Would either end as a Whittaker KO or 30-27 Colton, not much chance of middle ground.

Whittaker would probably not want the fight anyway, he's obsessed with smashing Poms. Let Maguire sub him, that would be more fun.

I like the idea of Whittaker vs Colton.
Rob's last fight before he went into the house was against an American wrestler - Jesse Juarez and he lost a close decision 48-47 (CFC title fight). Juarez has a very Fitch like approach to his fights and he was able to drag Rob into a grueling grappling battle for parts of that match. But with that said, what Rob learned from that fight was golden and I think he would do much better in a rematch. Part of the reason he lost some rounds was because he was willingly engaging the ground battle. When he didn't want to go to the ground Juarez had a hard time getting him there and keeping him there. Now that Rob has the luxury of full time training and experience against wrestlers I have no doubt that he has the ability to avoid being "wrestlefcked" by a lot of guys.

Colton would walk through his kicks and punches in order to please his gay sex drive and dry hump the shit out of whittaker.

It'd be interesting if they did this bout like a mini-international tourney and the timing is right.

Jacob Volkmann and Nik Lentz had some good winning streaks with nothing but relentless takedowns and smothering top control.

I don't think it's so crazy to think that an American wrestler can take down and grapple all over a non-wrestler for a few rounds. When it comes to fighters with a lot of unknowns about them, I'll take the American wrestler to win the fight every time until we find out his chin is shitty or he has no gas or he has no heart.
