Life is so crazy and so is the MMA. One fight can change a persons legacy. For example, had Karo Parisyan fought and beat Hughes, he could have been a more of a house hold name. Or if Joe Riggs showed more flashes of brilliance, he too could have been considered a prominent fighter in the UFC. Both similar like Diaz bros who don't have the best record but they have significant wins that allowed them to remain in the limelight despite inactivity.

This brings me to Cole Miller. Had he fought and beat Conor, would he have been a house hold name in the UFC with insane leverage that allows him to choose whatever match up he wants until a rematch with Conor?

im not sure getting horribly murked by Conor would've done much for him

I see what youre sayin. When that fight was announced i thought cole would beat him(since then ive had to accept cole doesnt want to fight much anymore). But he called mcgoober out and had some attention. Youre right -who knows what wouldve happened if cole didnt pull out.

No because unlike the Diaz boys, Karo and Riggs, Cole is completely impossible to root for.

Cole Miller subbed Conor with a standing guillotine out of mercy after 35 unanswered tai clinch knees to the sternum in multiverse n.88314.

I think not,

As you can see, Cole Miller would never be noticed. He is invisible.

TS a better example of what you are trying to articulate is Hughes vs Karo

Cole is roughly similar to Nate and did pose a few legit threats to Conor with his size, durability and good BJJ

that being said he was also ko'd by Escudero so I highly doubt Conor would have had much dificulty in taking him out

I've often thought about this. If cole fought Connor would Connor be a household name. That fight could have exposed his giant weaknesses

Styles make fights.

If only all those guys smoked weeeeeed, and mean mugged like banger wanna-bes, they could all be as famous as the Diaz Bros.

After all, that's what is important to Shertards.

No, because he’d still be Cole Miller.

He’d have gotten a short term popularity boost, and a big fight next. But then his Cole Millerness would keep him being Cole Miller.

It’d have been a setback for Conor McGregor, but he would have come back, due to him being Conor McGregor. His Conor McGregorness would have seen him reach the top despite the setback.

But realistically, Cole was never beating Conor.

Cole might have done alright, but I still doubt he would have gotten past round 1 or 2.

If he had somehow won we would have seen a slower ascent from Conor with none of the Mayweather nonsense attached, Conor likely still rises to contention and wins due to Aldo falling out of prime but it's a big 'what if' the guy hasn't won one in his last 4.

So we've got shit prediction threads about Melvin Guillard, Clay Guida & now Cole Miller beating Conor <Lmaoo><Lmaoo>

All these guys wouldn't even beat Mendes, Porier, Alvarez let alone Aldo.

You guys are so desperate.

I think if Cole had beat Conor his star would've risen to the level of a fighter that a cameraman would recognise.
