Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy is currently a controversial method of treating a myriad of injuries. Scientific evidence at the moment is conflicting and there definitely needs to be further investigation of CLT. However mainstrem medicine is starting to embrace it with hositals and chiropractors starting to use CLT.

Some of the supposed effects of CLT are:
Increased APT production by the Mitochondria and increased oxygen consumption on the cellular level which may result in muscle relaxation.
Increased serotonin and increased endorphin

It's interesting that you mentioned this... I read this post yesterday, and then this morning at physiotherapy for a sprained wrist, they brought out the laser. Not much of a sensation at all, and it was cool to get it the day after reading about it. I'm going to read into it some more I think, and see if it affects healing in any way.

Yeah its painfree and non invasive. I was also combining the laser with contrast baths, which seemed to really improve recovery times!

I don't think the laser is the answer to every ailment but used as part of a recovery plan I think the lasers are a very valuable tool.

Jayb thanks for taking the time to read the post I realise it was long and boring!
